This is just the beginning. As the year ticks by, these games will get older and less common. What does economy 101 teach us? As demand(human population increases) eclipse supply(no more production) price will only go up. Add to the fact that in 10 or 20 years from now, we might only have digital format that are stored on 1 PetraByte of data. As much as some of us hate this, it's slowly happening whether you like it or not. Everything that are physical will be highly sought after. The only problem I see this will create is the privacy sector. We are already dealing with a bunch of fake stuff online, this will make it worst as prices continue to soar. You can find fake boxes online and all you need is a good strinkwrap machine to complete the process.

Thanks man! I've also purchased a couple of other ones - a collection of 200 NES games + consoles/accessories (all loose), and one other local collection of a bunch of misc games haha. In most cases, I don't have the means to handle full collections, but every now and then it would work out!

Awesome story man! I can relate to all the emotions you went through with these kinds of deals. I remember driving home after buying a $5000 collection and asking myself " What did i just do!?" I felt sick haha. It turned out to be one of my best purchases, I still have the sealed games from this collection! I'll never forget it.

Haha that's exactly the feeling. Once the adrenaline wears off, you just kind of sit there alone with the collection and go, "huh....". That's amazing you still hung onto the sealed games from your big purchase, though! I did hold onto the consoles, thankfully😎

My best guess is that I had some on my older phone(s), but they've simply been lost over the years unfortunately. I held onto the Flintstones until 2017, when I sold some games in order to buy some crypto haha😎💸

I know a guy who bought SEALED SNES games for 200-300 dollar piece in 2011 to 2012 - not joking. Chrono Trigger,Final Fantasy 6 and Donkey Kong Country etc. That time sure has passed. oh and I almost forgot to mention, you could get sealed ff7,8 and 9 for around 70-100 back then as well!

Great story and I am happy this worked out for you. I am personally of the opinion that a private person should not go into debt for anything that is not a house or flat. Debt comes with so many downsides and mental burdens, no matter what the „LEVERAGE LEVERAGE LEVERAGE“ people say. It gets especially dangerous when it works out and people think „what is when I borrow more money to invest? I could make so much more!“
