My biggest makeover yet | part 10 - it's starting to look like a backyard again!!!

Welcome to the next installment of this series. It's taken me a long time to get to this point as we've had hold ups due to work commitment, family commitments and unfortunately, I lost my father in January so sometimes it has been difficult to get motivated to do this work. With that being said, I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel with this job. Things are really starting to take shape and open up. This backyard is finally looking like it should be!
If this is the first time you are watching this series, welcome! I did originally being this work and was charging the clients but over time their disability support funds dried up so they were no longer able to continue paying me. I advised them that as long as they were happy for me to continue recording my work and I come in 2-3 hour blocks around my schedule, I would keep working free of charge.

I find it interesting how many different receptacles varies gardeners use. You used the good old wheelbarrow, George in Tassie uses a galvanised bin and guys in the UK often seem to use plastic tubs

Wheel barrow is easiest here as there is a lot of soil to dispose of. I have watched George and considered a couple of bins.

I find the ivy is so invasive and destructive that I can't understand why anyone would willingly want it to grow in their yard, it is a never ending job to keep it in check. You as always do a wonderful job!

The vines on ground, what are they? I SEE the ivy on fence- bad plant to deal with. The garden soil... really looks DRY now. Dusty in fact. Every quaderant tackled and cleaned... shows the enormous size of this yard. You really should be proud of your hard work. Briliant job

I’ve never seen so much Ivy and don’t want it either. One inch piece of ivy left behind = a fence full by next spring….lol . Horrid stuff if it’s not controlled more than regularly. Great job.

I wasn't shouting at you to remove that sheet of metal, but to be careful when you did, in case of snakes and spiders! I was relieved to see you shaking and slapping it before getting stuck in! My question is, do you encounter many critters while working, and if so, what are they? My main fears would definitely be spiders, then snakes, scorpions if you have them, then cockroaches. Oh yes, did the possums leave their nest? I can't remember which yard it was now, as I watch all your series, and I get mixed up about which yard had which particular problem sometimes. 🤔 😂 Anyway, I love your work ethic and how much care you put into every job, paid and unpaid, and I'm glad to see your channel grow from strength to strength.

Thank you for your comment and continued support. I've only ever come across 1 snake and it was a propert that backs onto a reserve, it was also a very hot day. Spiders are always going to be around, I have encountered a few redback spiders.

That metal sheeting needs to go! Several episodes and many, many weeks/months ago the homeowners asked you to clear that area so they could build a shed, then they went on vacation, now what? I think the shed project is ludicrous and defunct at this point. Just get rid of the junk and clutter!
