Re outline/structure: I think after thousands of hours of reading/watching movies/writing, we have an internal compass as to how a story should flow. Interestingly, I find that even when I don't outline, it seems to fit standard structure.

Yes, totally agreed! Plus when I have my Reading Cap on, I'm usually able to find where my manuscript is lacking or lagging because that's what I'd feel from other books. Then it's just fixing it up!

I’m currently writing a Tech Noir novel. Your videos inspire me to write a lot. I’ve already written 1,755 words today. My brain is absolutely exhausted.

The only 'write a thons' I've ever attended are streams, I've never sat down and bounced from live stream to live stream (though I do have a few good ones saved I keep revisiting). And to follow that train of thought, I've never had a time where I could dedicate a whole day or weekend of exclusively writing, but I have had some chonkers of days in the past. And Nano is really when I dedicate the most of my time to writing, just that feeling of camaraderie and 'this is what a lot of people are doing with me' helps. As far as writing challenges, a revise-a-thon sounds awesome.

I've unfortnately been suffering with major anxiety the last couple of weeks. I talked about it on the discord with my smoke detector going off all the time. They found part of the problem and I fixed the final part by just disconnecting the faulty one. We have 3 others in the small town house so we're still safe. My anxiety finally calming down and most of the after effects are starting to lessen too. I couldn't attend any of the WWW-a-thon this weekend. My husband was playing in a baseball competition and it was on the books for a while. I'm hoping to attend the next one and actually have the time to do it. It might only be a few of the lives, but it would be nice to focus a weekend on writing or at least several hours of a weekend on writing. I’m ready for NaNo, and am finished outlining the 22 chapters of my NaNo novel a week ago. I’m losing the thread and I think I need to write this part, see what's working and what's not flowing before I outline the rest. This week I also started and finished a 13 page horror comedy short screenplay in 5 days (2 days planning 3 days writing). I was very rusty with writing screenplays, and it felt good to work through the script. It's honestly a joke padded out in 13 pages and could probably be cut down a couple of pages, but it's good for the first draft. I'd like to see a revise-a-thon maybe in March or May. Just before or just after Aprils Camp NaNo. That could be fun.

Each year on New Year's Day, I visit a good friend for a few days, and we do nothing but writing, plotting together, and reading out loud to each other in the evenings what we have written during the day. It is amazing each year how productive we are together, and how we spark each other's creativity. I hope we can add another meeting during the year, but it's not easy, as we are both teachers, but with different vacation-schedules (yay for the German federal system... °_°)

After two months of basically empty weekends, the weekend of the www ended up being packed out and I didn't get to participate in a single stream! I'm glad it was so productive for you and hopefully many others. (actually a revise -a - thon would be pretty cool)

I'm taking Monday off. My boss is trying to guilt me, which is kinda silly because he approved the request. This year, I'm going to try to plot as I go so that it's not all raw word-vomit. If I at least know the how the basic flow of the story will go before I start writing it, I'm hoping it will be coherent.

I always forget about Scriveners's name generator. I really don't use as many of it's features as I probably should. You were certainly more productive on the WWW weekend than I was! I think I worked for a total of four hours over the entire weekend because I just *couldn't*
@KateCavanaugh

Scrivener legit has so many features that it boggles my mind and I shut down and don't try to learn any of them bahaha. It's an overload. I need the knowledge of them sprinkled in like one a month. And that's how I've felt recently with challenges like 10K days or the last WWWriteathon, so I totally understand!! Hopefully you'll push past it soon.
