In this very special video, I share some very special life lessons from my African-American Father who has left a lasting impact on my life, perspectives, and our interracial Black and Korean family. My dad was a family man, selfless in his approach to his kids, and was the strongest man I've ever known.
Through these priceless life lessons I've learned from my dad, I want to offer some encouragement to all fathers out there, young and old, as well as those who want to be fathers in the future. This can change your life. Share this video with someone who can be encouraged!

Wow! Very nice video. I cried because your father reminded me of my mother, who was exactly the same for me like your father was to you. Loving me so much, always being by my side and spending time with me, hard worker sacrificing for the benefit of the family. I lost her suddenly because of a stoke and I miss her very much. I know that you miss your daddy too and you did well to speak about him. It would be a great lesson for those who are fortunate to have their parents still alive. You are amazing and I admire you a lot and now I know why.

You’re an amazing story-teller, Cedric! My grandfather was very similar to your father, and happened to pass away in the very same way. He was super strong and hard working and then one day he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He passed away 2 months later, but even when he was sick he was doing home renovations and selling his tools to make sure that my grandmother would be taken care of after his passing. I’m so happy that you have a lot of pictures and videos from your childhood, thanks to your dad. I’m not a parent yet but plan to capture as many memories as possible when we have kids. Thanks for creating and sharing this video.

Wow, thank you so much Audrey. And thank you for sharing about your grandfather. My dad and your grandfather do share similar stories and from the sounds of it, similar loving and caring qualities. Their memories will continue to live on and give us an example to strive for. And I’m sure that you’ll create and capture many great moments with your future kids :) I appreciate you watching Audrey!

My dad passed away in 2016 at the age of 80. Man, when a father has a powerful impact, it lasts through generations as lessons learnt can be passed on like a relay button. My father, like yours was and is always going to be a true blessing. If my 2 sons can appreciate me half as much as you appreciate your father or half as much as I appreciate my father, I will know that I have done good!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

We are usually bombarded with stories of how black fathers are not in the home or hands on with their children. It's nice to see a positive story . I was adopted and raised by the sweetest, most gentle hard working father as well. If I needed something extra I remember he would sometimes work double shifts to pay for it. Recently I met my birth father but to me, my true father is the man that raised me and no one could tell him I wasn't his daughter. My father also passed away and this really made me miss him more. Their are some great black fathers out there and it's time they also get their due in the spot light. I hope new, current and future fathers of all races are inspired by your video and make many memories with their kids.

Hi Skycedi! All I could say was...Deeply Sensational💙. Your dad did an Excellent job in instilling so much advice, wisdom, compassion, respect etc... I was actually in tears, bcuz I lost my Auntie to pancreatic cancer in January of this year, a few days after my birthday. She also found out at the last minute, but she didn't let it steal her strength, or her joy she fought until the end. She was vibrant and energetic, even in her hardest times. So I can definitely relate to that. Thank you for sharing so much with us. Man, that really hit home, for real. This is a sensitive time for you, my sincere condolences to you and your family, but continue to remain strong as your dad was. My dad was in the military and my mom was a school teacher. Your dad has given you a lot of fond and sincere moments to cherish. Pictures are worth a thousand words and quality time is priceless! Thanks again for sharing this reflection of your dad. You have an Awesome and Amazing dad! 😍👍💙You definitely got something precious to pass on to your family one day. Take care and be Blessed! 😇

One of the many great things about my father is that when I was young, he always bought me books when he returned from trips. Some of the books i didn't really understand then but he encouraged me to read and read even mispronouncing words sometimes. He would always encourage me and that helped my confidence at a very young age. I could read and write better than my peers and even seniors. For that, I'm truly grateful....Dads are special😊😊😊

Great video Cedric! My parents moved out to the Midwest to be near me and the grandkids. My mom and Dad were civil rights activists and educators in the 60’s & 70’s and Dad was always ALWAYS an athlete. He always (still) taught us to pay attention to history and the environment. My own husband is a competitive athlete as well, but being fatherless, has looked to my father as a role model and it had been amazing to watch their relationship grow. Dad has been our rock and - unwittingly - he has also been an example for several young men around him. When you are lucky to have a dad who is involved in your life - LIVE by your fathers example!! ❤️I hope that when you eventually have your own family, that you remember your father’s influence and involvement in your life!💕

That intro though..... 😂😂😂 But seriously, this video really touched me because i don't have a lot of memories of my father bonding with the family or just having a great time. I'll cherish the few that i have and make sure to create many more when i start my own family. Your dad was a hero. Happy fathers day in advance to all dads and potential dads. 😁😁😁 Good one Cedi👍

Cedric what a wonderful video and a tribute that your dad would be prototype have you as a son. Your dad was a great role model to you and, I’m sure, your sister. It’s also good for dads to be as a motivational video. Much love. Are you planning to be a dad in the future? Many blessings

Thanks for sharing this message about your Father. I agree with you, Fathers truly do teach their children about their self-esteem. In a child’s eye, when your Father says it no one can tell you differently(nope my daddy said so😉).I’m so happy that you and your family have so many memories, videos, and photos❤️❤️!

Just want you to know that you're a very lucky person to have such a loving father! I hope that you had learned from him and that you'll be a good father when you become one in the future! I found you on KZbin a few day ago and love all your videos that I watched! I love that you're natural and yourself! I wish that everything is going your ways or as you hope for!

What an amazing father, God bless you for sharing this wonderful story. My father loved his children and was very similar to yours. He worked long hours, but always found time to teach us how play various games, cook, shop, sew, clean and come to our school to advocate for us. He was proud of each of us. As we grew older and we would learn how he would talk about our accomplishments to his friends and relatives. He was our confidant and babysitter to his grands. My father died from colon cancer in 1996. His legacy continues through us. We do for our children as we learned from him.

wow Cedric what a testimony...I stumble upon your channel and your story about your father really hit me hard. I can relate to your story because my mom, also had a pancreatic cancer and she battled with that disease for about 6 months before she passed away last year. Thank you for sharing your story.
