My BMW M2 Competition vs Sebring Raceway **Is it the best M car?

My 2017 Shelby GT350 blew up just two days before my first big track day out at Sebring International Raceway. Fortunately, I just finished the break in period on my 2020 BMW M2 Competition and was able to get the car serviced and out to the event. While it was supposed to be a two day event, unfortunately my time was cut short since I pushed the car a bit too far in session four and punctured my right front tire's inner sidewall.
My best time of the day was a 2:35, which I was more than happy with given this was my first big track day and first time on Sebring.

You can set one of the presets to go directly to the tire pressure monitor. Makes it nice to be able to check really quick incase you have a brief off track.

That M2 Comp looks like a nice track beast. At least you had the chance to experience Sebring and the entry fees were not lost .... definitely on my bucket list of tracks to get to.

Really nice track session Jeff. Sebring was my first track as well back in 2002, part of BMWCCA. PBOC does a really nice job, I miss going to track events, since I have not been back in a while. It does definitely get addictive, as back then after my first weekend, I was looking to book the next event and getting better brakes and suspension on my 330ci.. Last time I was at Sebring was with Chin Motorsports in my 2006 Pontiac GTO, great power, but I lost brakes after 2 laps.. even with Hawk pads,!.. Hope to see you at Sebring at a track event! Wish you the best with your 350, sucks that you did not get to do a track event with it, but Im sure that you will enjoy the M2 very much!

It's nice to have a capable substitute for HPDE and your real track day car has a glitch. Instructed in many M cars and they can make a great track day car even for those who only buy them for the M badge. Be careful they instill driving confidence that might entice you to drive over your head. Your instructor did a good job instilling that in you. GOOD JOB!

I had the same problem with TPMS and low tires pressures with my M235. The trick was dropping the pressures, then resetting TPMS via iDrive. Haven’t tested this on my M2C yet but it should work 👍👍
