I love that Monoma, a character that originally just seemed like a joke, was given such a big role in the final war. Without him, our heroes wouldn't have a chance against Shigaraki. And the shot of Dabi at the end, next ep flashback time! 😅

Horikoshi told us a while ago that Monoma would be important to the final arc but didn't say how. I had a theory he would find a way to clone One For All and make new lines. I should have guessed he would make use of enemy quirks like Warp Gate. It is quite useful.

Yeah, we didn't see Monoma in the fight in season 6. Monoma was stationed with Vlad King and his classmate Poni during the season 6 battle (according to a supplement manga page), in a location that wasn't shown (while the major fights were at Gunga Villa and Jaku Hospital, there were raids around the country sweeping up all the straggler PLF members - Monoma was supporting heroes going after some of these). Love seeing both Monoma and Shinsou getting to play very important roles here

Bakugo seriously hurt Deku more AGAIN to be recognized by the pros to be put on the Shigaraki team. He was completely ineffective in season 6, so unless they saw proof he COULD hurt Shigaraki he wouldn’t be on this team. Also Shinso has a running progression of saying no I can’t do this with my quirk, then IMMEDIATELY having it figured out either right after a fight or overcame it in his next training. Though to be fair he faced 8% of Deku’s 20% level last time and now Deku is at borderline 75% OFA control. And Monoma it is CATHARTIC to watch you be obnoxious to those that actually deserve it. His training to be an absolute nightmare was WELL worth it now. And 10 minutes of Erasure is going to be OP! (Aizawa doesn’t know of Monoma’s training)

Remember Deku was meant to go with Bakugou so they were counting more on their team work than just on Bakugou, also, last time we saw Shinso was during season 5 in the class A vs B jo8nt training that probably happened in late november/ early december, while this S7 war is happening after April of the following year, plenty of time to train and improve his quirk, specially in MHA time

@@arielmartinez94 I do get what you mean but he deliberately went to use his cluster move on Deku to see if it worked on OFA, and therefore he knows it works on AFO. Last time he fought AFS gauntlets and all, he LITERALLY did no damage. So the test was necessary. And by proving he COULD be on the team to fight AFS, he therefore proves to the pros hey I can hurt Deku who is this guy’s counter in every way. So we know that was the decider for his contribution. And let’s not forget, Deku for all intents and purposes won a 19v1 against these kids so I do see WHY they allowed it.

Bakugo was placed on the same team as Midoriya because of them being the two strongest in the class who already fought Shigaraki, nothing to do with Cluster. Bakugo accepted Midoriya as his goal, and uses him as target practice for the big threat. It's no different than the "If we stick together, we can beat All Might!" remark from Midoriya.
