A year-long project😯 Incredible, this was so much fun to see! I really like the show, it's fun and lighthearted and just really beautiful to see, but I don't think the books are for me😅 There are so many other great historical romances too! Fab video!! I will say, I did not like the books, but LOVE the tv series. I think a lot of people that say the tv series isn’t good are people that loved the books. Essentially they change most of the plots and characters … basically they take the family and that’s it 😅 so if you weren’t a fan of the books you’ll probably love the series 😂

Ok, first, this video is amazing! I'm so impressed and thankful that you take the time to make these videos. I can only imagine the time that goes into filming and editing everything. AND you're so sweet and dedicated to connecting with your hive. You truly are my favorite booktuber ❤ Second, holy wow do I agree with your take on Bridgerton! I watched the series then read the books and was like wow, these are not good 😂 Shonda Rhimes makes magic out of these books. Are you planning on doing another year long series? This was so fun to watch! I'm sure it's a challenge to find series that fit within 12 months but I'd so love to see what you come up with! XO

I didn't want to seem negative, but it just wasn't my favorite. (Thankfully, even if I don't give it glowing reviews, Julia Quinn will do just fine! LOL) You're making me really eager to watch the series! I was thinking about doing another year-long series, but I couldn't decide on what, haha! I was thinking of either doing the Hathaways/Ravenels since I'll be doing those anyway for the readalong, although I've already read them (and vlogged them). The other thing I was thinking was trying out a new author each month. I can't decide! In 2026 I'd like to do this with Jane Austen novels/twists. I was going to do that in 2025 actually, but my year has just filled up with so many other things! 😆

wow loved this long vlog. It was so great to see your year through this lens. So sorry you didn't like the Bridgerton books as much. The Rokesby's and Smythe Smith are definitely better as they were written after Bridgerton and I feel like her writing improved. Bridgerton was my introduction to historical romance and I loved them, but looking back now there are definitely more series that are stronger. I would love to see your video on stronger series and if you pick up the Smythe Smith books.

Really enjoyed your year long vlog. I have a co-worker who has watched the show and she mentioned yesterday that she might read the books and I was like, No! You should read Lisa Kleypas and start with the Wallflowers. I'm tempted to just bring my physical copies in to the office to give her a nudge as she mostly reads fantasy/romantasy.

You make me want to add these series to my TBR. And I absolutely could understand when you talk about your son's feet. I remember sharing my 8 and a 1/2 women's shoes size with my son when he was about age 10 and well. Yeah, he's in size 12 men's at age 13.

I've only read the first 2 Bridgerton books so far, but I agree with you. I really like the show though; they definitely up the drama. I think the characters are a LOT more likeable there than in the books... I bought the whole book series after watching the 1st season, but the books are pretty slow. I've read soooo many other historical romances that would make really exciting shows.
