It's almost a year later and I just discovered Mark and his beautiful family last night...I watched as much as I could and the last was his video that he is stopping treatments...they have tried and done all they can do...I am beside myself with grief for this young man and his family....I wish I could trade places with him...I am 66 and have been blessed beyond measure...just wish I could give him the time to see his kids grow up...the tears are coming, now...God, please, watch out for this young man and his family....

Don’t worry man, I have a brain tumor that has been growing in my head since I was 2 and I’m 20 right now. I had already 3 surgeries for it but the doctors can’t take it out because it’s to deep in my brain. I had 6 years with epilepsy because of that tumor. My latest surgery was in July 2018 . Hey Mark, Thanks for sharing. I'm a 4 year survived of both cancer and the treatment. I had the trifecta (surgery, chemo, and radiation. ) While I was going through treatment I found this plack with a great saying on it. It says, "YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL BEING STRONG IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE." Be strong brother. Let the Lord Jesus be your strength. Sending up prayers to that effect. Also don't be afraid to ask for help. Your body needs rest to heal. Be aware that The American Cancer Society can help with costs for transportation and lodging while your going through treatment, especially since you have so far to go. Blessings.

Hi am 16 and I was diagnosed with a rare cancer this summer. It’s on my spinal cord and though out my back and I did radiation for 6 weeks and it was absolute hell but I sticked in there and when I was finished I thought it would be easy to recover but it’s hard and every day is still a battle so just stay in there mark and make every day a happy a day even though you feel like poop but it ok just believe that you’re strong enough to beat this and believe in yourself. I get a scan next month to see if my tumors have shrunk... I wish you the best of luck😁

There are no words that could express how much i feel about the news. So much love and good vibes coming your way. My wife was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (brain cancer) 2 years ago at 33 years old. Until recently the tumor was shriniking. We attribute the shrinking alot to her diet. Whole, raw foods is very important, as well as NO sugars, not even fruit. Cancer feeds on sugars so if you starve your body of the "food" that cancer likes, you increase your chances. Along with that, cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment. If he can keep his body as far alkaline as possible that too will help. Matt, I really hope you find this comment in the sea of comments here. I also hope this info helps your brother. Much love to his family, I know first hand how hard it is. 💗❤💚💜

No no no... The immediate surrounding environment of cancer cells is slightly more acidic than the rest of your body, but in no way does that mean, that making youre body more alkaline kills cancer cells. Not only does raising your body pH NOT help with cancer treatment, it can actually damage youre healthy cells. There is a name for this condition: alkalosis. And there is also no evidence, that reducing your sugar intake reduces the growth of tumors. And cutting out all carbohydrates may even be a huge problem while youre in chemo therapy because you cant get enough energy that you need in the time of the very exhausting process. PLUS trying to cut out every sugar and axiously trying to avoid any kind of sugar may cause high stress and lead to more chronic deseases and an overall worse state of your body while in chemo therapy. I dont know what your wife went through, how she dealt with the cancer and how she got rid of it, but it certainly wasnt her diet. Please read up on those things before spreading misinformation to someone you might put in a worse state than they are already in. And Mark: please consult your doctor before making any decisions on how youre going to fight that demon.

My mother died to a brain tumour and she couldn’t do surgery because it was too close to her brain and other important organs. One night on her birthday she fell into a coma in her sleep and 1-2 days later she dies at 6:30ish at the age of 36. But I hope you can be stronger than her and fight cancer and beat it. 1978-2014. Very similar to nasopharyngeal carcinoma I was diagnosed with it in 2015 my jr year of high school did 3 months or chemo in Indianapolis witch had no effect to the tumor later started proton radiation in Knoxville Tennessee at provision center for proton therapy radiation that was very successful mine started about the size of a pair in about a month it was no longer pressing against my brain, ear and eye I lost permanent hearing in my left ear I’m now in remission going on 3 years cancer free since November cancer may have started the fight but your brother will finish it hope he gets well soon I love the videos they helped out a lot when I was going through this kept my mind off the negative things. One of my high school friends did a t shirt fundraiser for me It said Cancer started this fight but Caleb will finish it and had boxing gloves on it

Keep fighting Mark. My dad survived both bone and prostate cancer. The journey was tough and it wasn't easy to get through it physically and also financially. Mark and I are battle buddies....we were diagnosed the same day, at 76 y/o I have breast cancer. Since I have no family, I have Been s follower of the entire Carriker family for sometime on their channels and told Mark we both have to be positive and he replied with we should be “battle buddies” so we are both going forward with a positive attitude to fight our cancers. MD Anderson is the best place to be for what you are going through. Incredible staff and doctors. Spent 6 months there that saved my life. Lots of good places for financial support, housing, and travel coverage. Talk to MD Anderson about financial aid and housing. They have their own cost free housing, but there is a waiting list. There is also a place called faith house, run by faith lutheran church off of bellaire. They charge around 100 a week for patients. There are other groups that cover travel cost. I used the lymphoma leukemia society. Lots of financial help around there if you qualify. Prayers and best wishes for a full recovery and hope to hear ya'll ringing that bell at MD one day soon.

I'm 17 and my dad passed away from cancer at thirty November 1st 2009 so this kinda hit home for me. Keep fighting Mark and don't give up. I'm definitely gonna work on getting one of these shirts and probably growing out my mustache for ya (I don't look good with hats otherwise I'd get one lol). Shaved my head for my dad now I'm gonna grow a mustache for Mark... should be simple and hopefully I don't look like a pedo lol

I beg that I’m alive the day we beat cancer as a race, my sister was diagnosed with cancer at 27 and this year after 5 years clear she gave birth to a baby girl who we were all told could not happen due to chemo. SHITS TOUGH, having a family member with cancer really lets you know that it is everywhere - my mother was diagnosed with a glioblastoma that has formed next to her thalamus, chemo and radiation therapy beat the sucker down into remission but now its back, going three years into the whole ordeal and my mother has changed beyond belief, she's not the same person she was in the past, still alive, but the depression and physical damage of the brain have messed her up big time :( I am glad to hear you guys have a game plan for surgery and shout out to DUKE University in SC, they have done amazing things for my mom and its always heartwarming to hear of the breakthroughs they are making for cancer patients each time my parents come back from their monthly treks up there

Sorry to hear this news but great that the viewers get to help! I'm sure as a doctor you know but Mrsgunsngear was an oncology nurse and they saw some success with alkaline diets for people that chemo didn't help with. Just throwing it out there.

MD Anderson is awesome, they are the only place I go to when I have to get any cancer checkup. My mom also had a nasal tumor which started out as a brain tumor that spread, non malignant. But MD Anderson helped her with all those as well. Your in good hands, there success rate is high. Praying for you and the family ❤️

Hello to these two wonderful brothers. I have followed all the Channels. I love all of you. Our family recently was challenged with one of our members, my nephew struggled with the treatment of throat cancer. It was brutal, however Michael is now in remission. I pray that you, Mark will also beat this Cancer. Yes, I understand it is a rare form. The great Physician, our Heavenly Father can handle anything. Prayers, and Prayers and more.

You need to go to Cancer Treatments of America. They are the Best Cancer treatment center in America. Forget MD Anderson, they only treat symptons. CTof A has their own hotels right by their hospitals at a discounted rate. 50 dollars a day for a suite Their first visit is free including transportation.

Back in '89 I had a wreck and tore my face half off. Dr. Jack Thornton did an awesome job and the only noticeable scarring was on my upper lip. I grew a mustache to cover it up. A couple of years ago I decided to shave it off and show the world the real me. No little children looked at me, screamed and ran away. I vowed to never grow it back but now I am considering regrowing it to support Mark. Do you think I should?

I completely relate I’m 23 years old and I tore my hamstring last year and I went to the doctor for 4 months and it was continuously growing bigger and only being told it was a torn hamstring and a blood hematoma .... my mother then decided to intervene and took me to her doctor and then got told after mri and stuff I got told I had Ewing sarcoma and it is in my thigh and lungs .Super rare cancer as well . I wanted to tell you this because I truly understand and hope your brother makes a fast recovery .you guys truly help me through the treatments I’m going through and truly like what your channels provide to everyone including me . I am a cancer survivor and I am praying for you to be healed and the cancer removed entirely. My cancer was thyroid cancer but it was caught before it spread out of the gland. This Oct will be 20 years survival for me.
