Sorry but I don’t have a problem cleaning! I have the Ninja Creami Deluxe and I always drop it directly in hot soapy water right after spinning and run a small bottle brush through lid opening and it’s a breeze to clean. No bad smell ever.

Huh. I've had my Creami for well over a year. We're keto and always have several in the freezer at the ready. We probably use it 3-4 times a week. I've always cleaned it immediately after processing and have never had an issue with a bad smell. I think that's the key - just wash it right away. When this one dies, I'll get the next version. I absolutely love it, especially because we know exactly what is in the ice cream, and for us that means zero sugar.

I feel that a few of these things are not really cons of the Creami but cons to using a tool to prepare food rather than buying ready made. For example, I had a learning curve with my toaster, and the first cake I baked was soggy on the bottom and dry on the top because I didn’t get the temperature right on the oven. The other one was the preparation. I get it, but it’s easier for me to order a pizza than have the foresight to buy the ingredients as well.

I absolutely love my Ninja Creami. I am an ice cream lover and I am always on a diet, so I love that I can eat more ice cream for less calories, and I can add milk or yogurt with extra protein, so the creami stays with me longer. I bought my first one from Walmart, on sale for only $160 plus tax. I used it several times when the blade fell off during the 3rd part of the process. It worked a few more times and then the blade would not stay in, so I returned it, but not before ordering another one. I have had the replacement one, also from Walmart, and I have had it about 7 weeks. I have used it every single day, and have no problem making the pints ahead, and have finally experimented until I have found the perfect recipes for me. All has been well until yesterday when the install light kept blinking and the respin button kept sort of glowing on and off. I tried everything to make it work. I unplugged it, checked the blade, etc, and it just would not work. I was devastated because I was so looking forward to my creami for lunch. I can make a delicious low cal ice cream for less calories than I can buy the same amount of frozen yogurt at the grocery. I can literally double the volume for the same amount of calories. Anyway, after trying everything and FaceTiming my daughter, who introduced me to the creami, I googled what to do, and did not find the right answer. Then I googled "Is there a customer service/ product help number for the Ninja creami? To my amazement, there was, so I dialed it. I was further amazed to get a human on the phone quickly, We did a screen sharing where she checked that the lid was on correctly, etc. I was thinking I had done something wrong and I just needed a quick adjustment and I could go on and have my lunch creami. Unfortunately, that was not to be. She said they would have to replace my base (the whole machine) and there was a $20 shipping charge. I told her I appreciated her help, but Walmart does have a generous return policy and I would just return it and order another one. She then said I could do that if I wanted to do so, but she would waive the shipping. I do not have to return the defective machine, but I am to keep the lid and bowl etc. In reading the fine print I learned that my replacement machine will only have a 6 month warranty I am pleased with the help I got, though I might have been better off to just return it to Walmart as I would have gotten everything new, and while I haven't had any problem with the lid on the 2nd machine, it does look pretty flimsy. I am wondering if Walmart just got a bad batch as I had two to be defective?? Anyway, I am eagerly expecting the replacement, and put my creami in the garage?? You've got to be kidding! It goes on the already crowded counter, next to my beloved electric tea kettle. I love it that much, but again, I am on a constant struggle to maintain my weight, and I love ice cream! I fully expect I will have to fork over the money to buy a new one every year, especially if I can't replace the lid. Thank you for your report; I agree that the lid is flimsy but the invention of this machine ranks up there with the iPod and iphone with me!

Thanks for this review. The lid thing plus storage of it would be a problem for me. I do have a ninja blender and foodie that I use a lot but the foodie although it takes up a lot of room is always on my counter, so not much room for something bigger. However, it is tempting now that I have a larger freezer too.

It’s not different from just normal dishwashing. Or the blending lids of a nutribullet. Hot water easily melts everything away. This feels like a nonexistent issue. If you can’t be arsed cleaning the lid and blade, you’re someone who just doesn’t do the dishes.

I've also seen a video or two about running the creami with just warm water and a drop of dishsoap. It gets the spindle that comes down from the top clean as well as the lid assembly. If more cleaning is necessary for the lid, take off the gasket and clean with soapy water and a small brush. I've just received mine so hopefully these tips work for me. 😂

I finally pulled the trigger during a prime sale. Got the newest one eoth the bigger jars. I have a blendtec to make ice cream and pick my ingredients and I held off for this long for that reason. That and ninja products are generally made cheap and gimmicky, I made an exception for this one because it allows you to mix in toppings and like my blendtec it has simple set it and forget it buttons. So this is mainly for when I want that crunch in my ice cream. Probably still use my bike der for the day to day ice cream and drink needs. Always good to be able to make stuff st home and eat healthy.

I wouldn't want to be without my Ninja Creami. I can 100% understand your points for how you use it. I use mine 'almost' every day. I eat WFPB (whole food plant based) and my ice creams are actually 100% blended fruit. In fact, I'm getting ready today to make my next batch and it will have 3 ingredients. Bananas, oranges and peaches. I have 8 containers. I always run it one cycle on Sorbet - than another cycle on Mix In. Perfection! Buying ice cream that is WFPB is ridiculously expensive, so this has paid for itself early on. :) Debbie in WA Ü

Why not just invest in a tool that can be used for a whole slew of things instead of just being a one trick pony? A $200+ price tag for this gadget is steep as hell. I can make fruit sorbet super easily in my Vitamix blender, and that blender can do sooo much more for you and your diet than this waste of money and kitchen space “Ninja Creami.” A Vitamix can even cook SOUPS from scratch because it’s so powerful! Also, no need to plan in advance with the Vitamix. Just put all your frozen fruit into the blender, and it’s blended in a minute or two! Ninja Creami requiring to plan at least 24 hours in advance sucks!

From what I can see, based on this and other reviews, it's not much of a difference between the creami and a regular blender or even hand churned. It probably comes down to one's level of patience or priorities. If you have a very small home business, this might be worth it. But, if you can get the same, better, or similar results for less why not save money? Ingredients matter too. With the right mix, you can get all the things that creami promises by just using a mixer, food processor, blender, or hand. Thanks for confirming my hunch!

@@Katkit537 For that kinda money, I’ll stick with my very versatile Vitamix blender to make sorbet. I’m sure it comes out great in the OP’s food processor too! I still want to get myself a food processor too in fact.
