Same. There's too many videos out there of people abusing their animals, and especially chameleons. Chams aren't social, and they don't like people although my two seem to be exceptions to that. There's this company called The Reptile Zoo, insanely popular on tiktok and facebook, and every single one of their videos is just them abusing animals. It makes me incredibly sad to see that.

This is nothing lol, wait till you see him now. We spend about 3 hours a day together. Dude does this little grunt hiss thing until I get him out, and then his favorite spot is 5 inches from my face on my microphone boom. Just stares at me all day and tries to hit me in the eye with his tongue (no joke). I'm way, waaay behind on videos due to catching covid and other complications from that, but I'll get to the real trust part soon I promise.
