So true; its the journey that counts; I have been on carnivore three months and frankly I can have two weeks where the scale moves down two pounds then for no reason it goes up down two pounds; and that's okay; I feel my body is adjusting to my way of eating; I exercise at least three days a week for sure but really do more; technically in compared to others my weight loss is very slow but I am 23 lbs less then I was 3 month ago; so that's a good thing; everyone needs to find their own thing.

incremental progression - note the small gains, and act with strategy, and dont use motivation - because this fluctuates - be aware of where you want to be and how you can feel then, but focus on incremental progression, strategy, less on emotion.

I follow somewhat a keto diet but break the rules all the time. I lost weight and my triglycerides dropped significantly and my A1C is now below 5.0. What I avoid most is grains (except organic popcorn), fruits (maybe 1 a week), vegetable seed oils (always). And I eat moderate amount of beef and other meats. The worst of the worst is deep fried foods, sodas and fruit juices, wheat (even whole wheat) and HFCS. Thanks for your message. Heart disease is not from saturated fat, it's from inflammation due to the unhealthy junk food. Cholesterol is not the problem, inflammation is.

I love raw milk (from certified dairy). That along with one or two raw egg yolks gently stirred-in is such a powerhouse of energy for me (it's almost as energy giving as a steak for me), and that cup of raw milk and a couple raw pastured egg yolks kept me energized and NOT hungry from 6 am to about 1:30 pm! I made homemade yogurt and kefir from that farm fresh organic milk also, and it was amazing! The kefir was my favorite because it was a powerful energy and brain boost! (I had the kefir or yogurt I made as a "snack" after work before supper. As much as I have loved berries or peaches mixed in with my homemade yogurt, I kept it plain to avoid the IBS that would usually accompany fruit. There is nothing more amazing than that effervescent homemade kefir!

You had me at "crunching numbers". As an engineer and statistician, I'm obsessed with metrics. Regarding cost-effectiveness, I partnered with a local rancher for a half-share twice a year; this saves lots of money in the long run because I do not have to step into a grocery store or a market. I just take a few steps to the freezer. The variety of cuts is amazing. However, for additional variety, I will visit my local butcher for bison, elk, goat, lamb, moose (if available), and vennison. He hooks me up with free suet and tallow, which I use for homemade pemmican, and for homemade soap. Thanks, as always, for all you do. :-)

What's up Brittney! Like I said (more towards the end of this video) what I've been doing with my food has been pretty consistent over the last couple years. If you check out my older videos I show all the variety I have in my diet which is similar to todays video. But over the years I have pulled back on showing what I personally eat someone who is active and metabolically healthy as I didn't find me posting videos with what I personally eat to be as helpful to the vast majority of people who are not in the same part of their health journey as me. So I've been having pretty much the same variety as I did three years ago, two years ago, one year ago :) I hope that makes sense! Have a great weekend :)

I lost 18 kgs / 39 lbs doing no specific cardio ( NEAT... was my go-to form of moving more ) - weights and body weights ( because I have a desk bound job ) was my only form of specific exercise, and that was paired with OMAD. OMAD although not ideal or recommend by most for muscle preservation and no doubt muscle gains, it surprisingly worked for me on both counts. OMAD enabled me to lose the fat I did not want, without starving myself and I gained muscle. Caveat: the muscle gain was not great, but it was noticeable no doubt enhanced by having less fat covering it. When tracked - my intake comprised of 60% fat and 20% each from carbs and Protein. Which w/r protein came to about half of what is recommend, again not ideal but it worked our for me. Cheers for uploading and sharing.

Mick Jaeger is a fellow economists. I went keto-vore-ish for health and to drop some pounds. One surprise was that my blood pressure went from being typically 127-135/77-85 most of the time to 106-116/68-72 most of the time and it did this in only a week. Have been on BP meds for at least 25 years and have been pressuring my dr to change them to improve but then dropping carbs and probably some of the processed foods or veggies I am not eating and the BP is no longer a concern.

I’ve just paid £112 for 24 x 420 (average weight) packs of grass fed organic minced beef, worked out at £4:40 a pack with discount code and a bag of organic lambs liver. I’m in the Uk and this was cheaper than any supermarket, eating carnivore when you shop around is not expensive, yes it’s a bit repetitive but the health benefits are worth it. Add in eggs, gold top milk, bacon and the odd bit of veg n fruit oh a lots of Skyr Greek yogurt, relatively cheap month for food.

Rice and beans is complete protein and you can buy tons more of it than meat for the equivalent cost. There's a reason a lot of traditional poor-man's/peasant dishes are (delicious and) made of pulses and grains. Putting two plants together is not complicated and definitely not as expensive as beef.

I love your content and do wonder how a carnivore diet that was primarily lean white fish and shellfish would affect the body. Here you could eat a lot of lobster and butter.

I think having lean meat can be fine but then I would want to have some sort of fuel source so fat or carbs so I have energy. That's why like you wrote, butter goes great with lobster! Lobster can be a good source of protein but if you eat tons of protein and not enough of a fuel source, you would likely start feeling pretty low energy and tired as your body would have to start converting the protein into energy which is less efficient and more demanding on the body.

‘The cup of noodles is gonna give me heartburn and diarrhoea’. 😆.. no noodles for Lillie!! Food pyramid was good with explanations and was much simpler than your other videos. Your diet is very simple with the amounts being the variable rather than mix and matching the mainstream food spectrum that regular dietitians complicate things with.
