I really think he was singing to Frank. I don't know about Ferrard, but I know he wrote this in 2008 after Projekt Rev and something happened in those months. I think they had a super special friendship that couldn't continue once they were both married...I don't know. But he is seriously in pain and at the same time Frank wrote Stomachaches which has the same theme. It just sounds like something happened special that if they weren't in the limelight could continue.

Whatever the truth of their relationship, I know that it was incredibly special, it appears to have changed, and they both seem very upset in their writings. They broke it off sometime during the summer of 2007, and like a month later he was married to Lindsey (Whom he had "dated" for 2 months prior to them getting hitched, which would mean he was either with Lindsey on the side or ran right to her after he and Eliza's break-up). I agree that this emotion was more than likely not about Frank- they were most definitely dude-bros and nothing else.

Meliza Luciano There have been many theories, but the one with Gerard relapsing into alcohol is the most believable. I think he may have comfirmed it at some point, I'm not sure. But it was making him an alcoholic again and he just didn't want that for his family. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but that's all I know.

Conventional Weapons came out from the songs that didn't made the final cut to The Trué Lives of The Fab. Killjoys, they never got out their 5th album, the only song they got out was Fake Your Death, they breakup, because of how everyone turned out, gee had problems etc etc, g said he never thought MCR was going to last after WTTBP,he never said he wanted to end it there

I'm REALLY glad they didn't end, we wouldn't have Conventional Weapons or Danger Days - which I think should be played on the radio NOW - people need HOPE and DD gives that. G wrote The World is Ugly in 2008 when he was in Japan, this song had nothing to do with Danger Days or the 5th album. It's more the scrapped album and this version is more intense than the one they put out.

I love this version so much. It's amazing, all of his emotion went into the song and you can really tell. Almost like Desert Song. I wish there was a studio version but I feel like it wouldn't be the same, it would probably lack the pure emotions that originally went into it. Hell, if the audience was cut out of the live version I would still buy it. Maybe instead of them getting back together (which pls yes yes do that if they feel comfortable) they could just record the songs like Sister to Sleep, Stay, and this.

@@ctgrl kinda late hahaha sorry but a little ago when they totally discarded Conventional Weapons as their next album, I think it was In the Danger Days era that Frank said in an interview when he was asked about the songs that they played in some concerts like this, that they would never released any of them unless they broke up, and that everyone should know that when they announce they were releasing the old demos/songs before danger days it was a like an official announcement that the band was going to be ending soon. And that was what happened.

Today is March 22, 2022. MCR is back, hopefully to stay. The world was ugly when My Chem was gone, but now it’s beautiful again. The G note can no longer hurt us. We carried on, and now MCR shall too, once more. Even when My Chemical Romance is gone for good, they will be remembered as what they were: Heroes. Gerard, Mikey, Frank, Ray. They are true heroes, real legends. Happy March 22, because we shall no longer hate this day since The Return.
