I was going to comment that on a different channel’s video and I didn’t because I thought people would think I was nuts. Story 1: Question: WHY IS EVERYONE BELIEVING THE BABYSITTER WHO SAID THE KID MOVED THE SOFA/COUCH?! Not only are the circumstances (light sofa or super-strong kid) extremely unlikely to occur but the babysitter could easily be lying to cover up her actions. Jesus christ, that's horrible. I feel bad for Joe here (since he seemed to be so ecstatic to be a father) but step mom to be needs to get tf out of OP and her children's lives, asap. Edit: Someone else suggested that maybe this was the plan from the start, Joe would impregnate OP and then he and gf would get custody. If so, I completely rescind my statement of sympathy. STORY 2: NTA. “Give Kim one of the babies since OP is having twins?“ Hello!!! A baby is still a human being! Not an extra soda that fell from the vending machine when you bought one. Kim is not treating OP like a surrogate, she’s treating OP like an incubator. Being extremely strict and controlling over OP’s eating habits, how the newborn will be taken care of, *AND WHERE OP WILL GIVE BIRTH!* (things that are none of her business because those are not her babies) Not to mention having a separate gender reveal & baby shower and not inviting OP. I get that Kim is unhappy with having infertility issues, but this is like a severe mental break down. If Kim wants to have a baby so bad she can adopt one! There are millions of orphan/unwanted children all over the world that could use a loving home. OP should really consider whether or not she wants her twins to have a relationship with Kim. For all we know Kim could try to get OP’s ex to sue for primary custody, Trick law enforcement that OP is abusing her children while coaching the twins to recite abuse allegation so she could adopt them, or even turn the kids against OP so they’ll want to live with Kim and their dad. Hell, she might go as far as sneak into the hospital wearing scrubs to get to the babies from the hospital and take off with them. With what Kim is doing right now she’s basically vicariously living through OP. Makes total sense when you catch that Kim was talking about what genders she wants the twins to be and she wants them to call her mama. It will probably be safer for the kids to either have supervised visitations with their dad or no relationship with their dad.

Back in the 1950's my mom, got married at age 15 and was pregnant and due to have a baby when she was about 16 and 1/2 years old. She had moved in with her 20 year old husband's mom and dad, as he joined the Navy to earn money so when he had saved enough he could support his wife and baby on his own. While my mom was with his parents, his mom and dad, started to refer to her baby as 'their baby' and talking about all the plans they had for the child and their son...but none of their plans ever really included my mom. My mom knew they considered her to be the equivalent of what we would now day's call 'trailer house trash' My mom's parents were Extremely poor, not educated past the 8th grade, and poorly at that...and unfortunately, my mom's dad was a alcoholic. They had a lot of kids 7 at that point...and finally ending up with 8 kids. So, getting one out of the house just eased their own financial problems...thus the reason they granted my mom's marriage when she was barely 15 years old. Anyway, as my mom's due date got closer, she actually over heard them one night talking about how -- with her husband's knowledge !!! they found a divorce lawyer and how they were going to gain full custody of the baby as soon as it was born. My mom, that night, packed up what few clothes she had, wrapped them up in a spare dress...she didn't even want to be accused of stealing a pillow case for that. And she walked out of the house, 3 miles into town, while 9 months pregnant. And once in town, used a pay phone to place a collect call to a preacher in the town her mom lived in. My mom then went to the local grocery store when it opened and bought some food, matches, and a gallon of apple cider and walked out of town to hide. The preacher got her mom and explained the situation and the plan that my mom and the preacher came up with. Her mom and the preacher...using the preacher's car...drove from Idaho to Arizona that night...and found my mom hiding off of a country road where she told them to get her when they finally got to Arizona a few days later. They didn't make it out of Arizona though, before the baby was born...they had to stop at a near by city for that...but as soon as they could after my oldest sister was born, they headed back to Idaho - where that same preacher and his wife helped my mom out for the first four months after the baby was born. The dad when he got back from the Navy...filed for divorce but not for custody. He never had 1 thing ever to do with my sister after that...I guess he felt it was too much of a hassle to go through that for his parents since it would involve different states and now someone who would be there to help my mom out.

I’m seriously questioning how/if that kid moved a couch, scaled the baby gate from there, went down the basement stairs and pulled a whole guitar off the wall. How low was the guitar anyway!? Who hangs a guitar so low that a kid could reach. That’s not going to look good on a wall. However, fire her immediately. She left a 3 year old unattended for 20 minutes while she went outside and couldn’t see him. He could’ve been seriously hurt. I actually can’t believe he wasn’t. How did the guitar not smash him!?

I heard the Buff Baby story on another channel (I know Mark reads them best, but you hear different comments from the different channels), and there was one comment from someone who does that kind of work to repair guitars. He said a baby or toddler couldn't warp a guitar neck unless the baby pressed on it for hours. He also noted that the guitar being stored in the basement means it's far more likely that the guitar neck warped from humidity or pressure changes in the air. OP may have only noticed the warping after the kid interfered, but it's much more likely that the guitar was already damaged. So, either unintentionally or worse intentionally, OP is blaming a teenager for something that was his own fault. That said, the babysitter wasn't doing her job, so maybe OP has cause to not hire her again, but... Whew.

First story. You should never leave a baby alone. I was washing dishes once while watching my 1yo nephew (he was within my field of vision) and in the minute i looked down to scrub some dishes he took his fork from his lunch took off the safety cover from the outlet and was about to stick the fork in there. I would fire her because she left the kid alone. Not the guitar (even if i would be very mad about the guitar)

I experience similar things with my younger sister so what you said was very accurate. I feel like OP's priorities are in the wrong place in this situation. He's considering making her replace a damaged guitar that's very expensive but not concerned about the safety of his kid? His child could've been in a choking, electrical, or crushing incident and he wants to sue his babysitter instead of letting her go. I understand that it was honest mistake or something but 20 MINUTES is a quite some time to leave a child to their own devices. Especially when they aren't asleep or detained in a child proof area. If OP's telling the entire truth then he's horrible for thinking about a guitar replacement over his own kid.

I was going to say the same thing-you don't leave a 3 year old alone for 20 minutes. If she'd had a medical problem leading her to have to use the bathroom for 20 minutes (as in things were coming out of her she could not control), I would be more empathetic, but for a phone call? If you really need to be on the phone, but a movie on for the kid, go somewhere you can still see them and be on the phone and deal with it that way. Twenty minutes is a long time to leave a young child alone (unless they're asleep in their room, or something).

Story 1: I read another high-rated comment from a music store owner or manager, who proclaimed that no shock from dropping a guitar would ever *bend* a neck, it would simply crack it. The only things that could have bent it in this situation would have to be keeping it somewhere with high humidity (like a basement) or leaving it leaned up against a wall. As I was listening to this story one thing popped in my head. Which is more important to you? Keeping a baby sitter or replacing a guitar that should have been under your insurance plan? And on a side note, if the baby sitter wasn't comfortable having the phone call in your home, it is probably because the OP had interior cameras setup and the baby sitter didn't want to be recorded. It had nothing to do with what a three year old may or may not have heard. But the OP is likely leaving details out to prevent the argument of invasion of privacy. But at this rate, the babysitter is working under the table so no reportable income. So even if the OP went to court and won the suit, the OP would be trying to get blood out of a turnip. And on top of that asking for $2200 from a person barely working minimum wage for something your own kid did ... go luck finding a replacement babysitter. Nobody is touching this job with a ten foot pole.

@Melody Ackerman I mean, I agree that the babysitter shouldn't be paying for a new guitar, but maybe it's more of an ESH situation. My best dog poo revenge story....i kept finding dog poo on the lawn always same size and always around the same time. At the time I lived near a large grocery store (also near an off leash dog area). I saw this guy park in the supermarket parking lot, open his back door and out pops his dog. He walks past my house and dog craps on the lawn he keeps going. I walk out and go "Hey pick up after your dog." He smirked and went "What are YOU going to do about it?" and kept walking. I got one of my doggie bags scooped it up, went over to his car and smeared the crap all over his window on the drivers side.

OP should be very aware of how the baby daddy and future step mother is acting, because now that she's witnessing the disturbing actions of this woman and the reality that she could be in potential danger, she needs to protect herself from what could be a HUGE court case against her, and what could potentially be defamation of character now that the step mom is going nutters on her.

the title story is sooo crazy. I don't know if it's possible with those proof but OP might be able to get full custody on the ground of her being acting like she's a danger to the kids, she wants to have newborns every other week, claim online that "she's getting babies but not the traditionnal way" she's on route to try and steal those kids and get full custody i tell you. Op needs to make sure that the dad isnt recognised as the dad even if that might mean some hardship without the allimony because if he's the legal dad Op is screwed.

One time they had to let us go for 4 months straight because there was no money to pay us, but they bought a new company car and gifted it to the daughter, all expenses, gas, insurance paid by the company. They - especially the wife - treated us like peasants and incredibly disrespectful. After 5 years I couldn't take it anymore. That would be my biggest issue here & I'd make sure 19yo knows that they were very lucky it was only a guitar damaged! Ask her to pay what it would cost to repair the guitar. My ex "lost" my kids when they were in his "care" . He was meant to be looking after two kids while I was at medical appointments. 1 (3yo) was found running down the cleared fence line where most grass/weeds were 1.5-2m high & he luckily saw her bright coloured hat through some gaps in the grass. She was a good 100m away in under 5min. It was 10acre paddock! Another time our 18mo was found 20min later, inside (everyone was outside) "splashing/stomping in the puddle" in the toilet! But that pisses me off so much... there is so much shit on the side of the road and they just leave it. But what pisses me off more, and this is something I've seen multiple times around here too... people who have actually taken the time to pick up their dog's poo in a plastic bag, tied the bag to close it, AND THEN LEAVE THE FUCKING BAG ON THE GROUND!!! Why in the hell would you go to the trouble of cleaning up the poo if you're not actually going to transport it to a trash can. Doing this is actually worse because you are littering with a non-biodegradable plastic bag. Makes me wanna break out my whackin' stick, because some people just seem to need a good whack.

My girl cat cuddles my mom's dog, whom is a boy, while my pup, a girl, cuddles and wrestles with my boy cat. Also, just to add, the dogs are small and different breeds/ages while my cats are twins from a litter, their sibling died a week before them and I have had them since they were 3 weeks old, so they are all cat sized. My cats, light gray tabby mixes, are going to be 11 this year, my mom's dog, malti-poo but looks more miniature poodle, is about 12 years old and my dog, a pug/Jack Russel terrier/Boston terrier mix, is going to be 7 this yeas as well.
