My name is Elinor, I am a 21-year-old sociology student who has been living with ME/CFS for 5 years. This video does not necessarily reflect everyone's experience and illness story with ME/CFS because we are all different and have different experiences. This is because ME/CFS can be more severe and milder than I have experienced and therefore each person’s story will be different!

Oh I ran out of energy and breath when I went for a wild swim. I seriously thought I was going to drown. It was damn scary and I still feel cautious about wild swimming now, so I can understand how that must have felt for you. 😧

Thank you for this video Elinor! It's so strange how you can go from being really healthy and energetic to exhausted and having lots of horrible symptoms. Watching this made me think back to times where I struggled and should have taken them as warning signs... I didn't say because I thought people would think I was dramatic too :(
