A couple weeks ago I played as Inca and settled a petra city almost entirely surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. With the yield from the volcanoes and adjancancy from mountains and other terrace farms ON TOP of the petra some of my terrace farms produced 11 food 6 production 2 gold and 2 science.

You could just chop with anything in the production queue and switch to what you want to build. The chopped items are in the buffer for the current turn and will be applied to w/e is in the queue at the end of turn. You switcheroo is completely unnecessary. Oh yeah and you never lose any production that was already applied to a non unit. And with unit it'll only be lost when it's replaced by a next version of it.

I just finished a deity game with the Inca on a primordial map and had a similar experience. However, I didn't do the terrain mods and I kept the disaster intensity at 2. I finally won a science victory on turn 320. Them volcanos really slowed me down.

YOU MISSED EARTH GODDESS! The earth goddess pantheon is super op as pachacuti because every single mountain tile is breathtaking so you can get faith from every single worked mountain tile which when paired with terrace farms makes them very useful tiles

I can tell you when that happens, if you move a unit with right-click and if the unit has some movement left but not enough to move to the next terrain (e.g. 0.75 from industrial road and the builder is stuck at 0.5 and you dont cancel the movement and put a improvement down, it will look like that

I believe a good bonus for the inca is they have the option to build on mountains but itll take like 10 turns longer than normal or so and maybe that can scale with age (since historically they built their cities on mountains without the wheel and only alpacas) but maybe you can think abt it and bring it up to the devs if its a cool idea (maybe they could unlock the ability to build on mountains after they find horses since they did have alpacas but they wouldnt have been hardly useful at all it would be more of a discrete balancing thing) or maybe only allow the capital city to be founded on a mountain with a good defense bonus if the ability to settle on a mountain whenever would be kinda o p but idk i dont make games

I had every volcano in my territory erupt at once in my game. It was followed by an eruption every turn for 6 turns at my capital. It continues to erupt every 2nd or 3rd turn. My capital has been hit by 10 major eruptions in the last 20 turns.

In your experience which civs get most benefit from various natural formations? I mean like is there any civ that somehow gets a bonus from owning volcano tiles. Inca get bonuses from mountain in general. But what about volcanoes? Anyone can get more food or labor from them than the others? Only I can think of is Hungary benefiting from thermal pools. But is that it?
