A quick walkthrough of how I have my Genmitsu 6050 set up. It has fully automatic spindle and dust collection and sits on my custom table with many convenience upgrades.
For templates that I have made, check out my Etsy shop. I build files for projects and tools for laser engravers.

Neat arm setup! Could you use a dovetail arrangement to eliminate the ties. Thus they could slide and use threaded inserts for the clamping.

The arm is held together and is slide adjustable with carriage bolts. The ties are only for cabling or hose. I have a design for clamps but due to added weight to the setup, I went with zip ties. I may try the clamp idea, but haven’t had time yet.

What do you have on the opposite side holding the 2 pieces of arm together? Is it the round pieces you was cutting out in the video? What made you choose the shapeko pro? I have been running a Bob's kl744 for several years now and I am thinking about upgrading to a onefinity now.

Not sure what you are talking about. I used carriage bolts to bolt them. As far as the Shapeoko goes, one of my local friends has the 4 pro and I have seen it work in his shop. He has had good luck with it for years now. I got quotes from several companies while considering. As I went through the specs, upgrade options, price and reputation of the companies, I narrowed it down to Scienci labs, Onefinity, XCarve and Shapeoko. I wanted to go with a US company if possible. The 48x48 usable work area I wanted eliminated XCarve. I wasn't crazy about the lack of substructure with the Onefinity as far as the "No work bed". I am more than capable of making a bed but that would increase cost even more. At this point, both machines cost about the same. The included bit setter and the built in dust collection plug were also a bonus for Shapeoko. Scienci labs was by far the cheapest machine but the belts are just hard for me to choose over two machines that run ball crews, that eliminated Scienci labs for me. Also, Steve has the Onefinity and I wanted some variety in the types of machines that we can offer support with. In our world of content creation, you also have to consider which machine has a need for more instructional and troubleshooting videos. I felt the Shapeoko users and future users could use a little more content to choose from.

Good info on your choice! What I am talking about as your 2 arms come together and appear to be butt ended to each other. Is there 2 arms side by side holding them together with the bolts? Hard to tell from 1 side is all. Sorry to create confusion.

I just got my PRO 5 4x4 as well. One recommendation I was given that's been great is to actually put down the foam tile mats (I got mine at harbor freight) as a vibration barrier between the plywood table top and machine. Definitely made a nice addition for minimal cost too.
