Looks like we both read the same stuff when we were kids. Stern on Avengers and Spider-Man and Gruenwald on Captain America were my absolute favorites. I had no idea at the time why I like those titles though. I think the Stern Avengers stuff holds up particularly well.

Fuck these things are way to expensive, tryna go back and get a good chunk of the whole civil war - siege story is a pain in the ass, nearly impossible to find the correct order as well

You could always go digital and subscribe to Marvel Unlimited. Or just wait for the inevitable new collection in the future. They will repack their classic stories maaaany more times, but patience is king!

The old omnibus problem... looks pretty good in the shelf but it's a pain to read ;) I think the max is about 250-300 pages in one book for me. Do you not read any Doctor Strange books?

I have a few. I might buy the Ditko Omnibus, which just got released. But then I know I would never read it, so... From the newer stuff I have a few paperbacks, but I don't find Dr Strange as a character to have a very strong back-catalogue. Any recommendations?

I think "The Oath" and "Dr. Stange & Dr. Doom" are pretty good. I really like the new ongoing series, the art is perfect for a Strange comic. The first TPB called "Way of the wired", the second is coming next month.

Dr Strange & Dr Doom I own, and for the Oath I am still waiting for an oversized HC ;) The new series I had high hopes for, but i didn't quite enjoyed Aaron's tonality, a bit too goofy for my taste. Maybe I should give it another shot in the collected format

Finally ! someone who admists that omnibus are sometimes so heavy and physically painful to read (unless sitting at a table... which is kind of a weird position to read a comic book) and who doesn't validate the so called classics and even doesn't finish them ! :D it's refreshing. I know it's kind of an artificial exercice, but do you plan to share with us your top 10 Marvel, 10 DC, 10 graphic novels (and 10 omnibus?) ever ? Looking at some of your videos, some of them seem to pop out (F4 Hickman, The Planetary ...) but I'd love to be helped, as a European newbie in comics (you know, Tintin, Asterix, Gaston Lagaffe, Thorgal culture héhé). Last question : would you recommend Providence by Alan Moore? Thank you for your great posts

Annihilation is my favorite book you HAVE to read it! And if you don't then sell it because it's worth a fortune at the moment. Same with Hickman's fantastic four number one, which I'm desperately seeking.

It's not an Omni but a Trade Paperback. It's a re-imagination of the Fantastic Four as a real-life, atomic family of the fifties. One of my all-time fav comics, but probably only appealing to people to enjoy indie comics just as much as superhero stuff.
