I read it really enjoyed a lot it back in the day. It takes a while to get into it, but then it's a hell of a ride. There's an unexpensive omnibus out there, which collects the whole run, btw.

Super Sammlung! Habe selbst vor ca. einem halben Jahr angefangen ernsthaft zu sammeln... da geht eine Menge Geld drauf und es ist wirklich schwer eine Orientierung beizubehalten und nicht zu viele Serien auf einmal zu beginnen. Da haben mir deine Videos wirklich geholfen einen Überblick zu bewahren... thx

Hallo, klasse Sammlung & Channel! Ich habe vor kurzem erst angefangen Comics bzw. Hardcover zu sammeln. Kannst du mir Stores empfehlen wo du bestellst? Ich schau bei Amazon, Thalia (mit Gutschein), Cheap Comics und eBay. Ansonsten find ich nichts günstiges bisher. Wenn ich die Preise bei instocktrades seh könnte ich weinen ^^ Gute LCS hab ich hier in der Nähe leider nicht wirklich. Hast du einen Tip? Grüße, Daniel.

Danke Daniel. Da kennst Du eig schon die besten Quellen. Ich würde noch um www.isbns.de ergänzen, ist ne gute Preisvergleich-Seite, wo man auch Preisbenachrichtigungen setzen kann. Und mit der Zeit findet jeder Jäger noch so seine eigenen, unerforschten Gebiete, you'll see ;)

Vielen Dank für deine Antwort und den Tip. Wenn man neu anfängt zu sammeln gibt das dem Begriff "unerforschte Gebiete" eine ganz neue Bedeutung. Meine Lebensjahre werden zu kurz sein um meine Wunschliste abzuarbeiten. Bei den Third Party Sellern tue ich mich immer schwer der Verpackung beim Versand zu vertrauen. Hast du Erfahrungen mit denen auf Amazon DE? Da sind 3-4 Shops aus UK die immer wieder auftauchen (SuperBookDeals, Speedy Hen, BWB, Book Depository usw) wo ich aber unsicher bin ob schwere HCs heil ankommen. Kannst du Shops davon empfehlen?

Book Depository ist auf jeden Fall i.O. Auf .uk findest du noch ARTSnCRAFTS~Books, hatte damit auch zu 95% gute Erfahrungen gemacht und das oder zwei mal wo nicht gabs Rabatt.

Ha! I wish I had one. Right now, it's by authors for graphic novels and by publishers and then characters for superheroes and genre stuff. But I sometimes still like to group by authors, cause they're most of the times the first reason I'm interested in a certain book.

seems that you have to take off the rest of the year and read your books :) ... some random thoughts: I guess you have to give some books another read, esp. the Grantstuff like 7soldiers, one of his best works IMO (okay, not all parts but all in all) and there is really a lot to discover in terms of connections between those parts and other stories of the dcu, it's amazing / totally agree on the un-readabiltiy (does this word even exist?) of many omnibi & hey, I am glad that I've stuck with my doompatrol-trades with the cool Bollandcovers.

Don't know which one you're talking about but no, I wouldn't buy stuff I know not to like. Sometimes I just buy things of which i expect them to like and then, after reading the first volume or so, it turns out that I don't. Some will get a second chance, some will have to go, someday.

Multiversity is totally an issue by issue experience--in some senses it doesn't belong in a collected edition....if I take a purist view of things....

When it came out I was just getting out of buying single issues... this has been an on and off thing for me forever (used to be comic altogether). It it would be released today I would totally get in in singles. I feel that, in general, most superhero stuff just feels more "authentic" when read in singles - or, negatively put, can be a bit underwhelming when presented as a "graphic novel"...

I'm constantly trying to figure out what to read in singles and what in trades...for the most part trades are a good bet...especially, as you say, outside of Superheroes...but even there it varies widely on which choice I wish I'd made...

Just as you don't get the hype of Geoff Johns. I always have trouble liking the writing of Alan Moore. The only thing i like by him is 'From Hell'.

Yeah, I can see why. I don't find Moore easy to read, either. He can be quite... sweeping sometimes. But he can write layers like no other and there's always something new to discover when re-reading one of his books. Btw, From Hell is one of my all-time-favs and maybe the best graphic novel ever made, imho.
