For people In the future faux locs can last anywhere from 8-12 weeks. It's all about maintenance and the brand you buy. If the brand isn't built to last long they might unravel or frizz out. Always check before you buy the hair :)

@@ursularoach6967 In my experience the best brand that I've purchased was FQNing. Both me and my mom has bought their faux locs in the past and I had mine in for 3 months before taking them out. I got a lot of compliments on them too they hold up really well and are pretty affordable at $40 for an 8 pack. My hairdresser ended up using 7 packs for me so I was able to buy the 6 pack for $34 and use the leftovers to save a bit of money :)

Can you not just put the locs in a bun at the crown then put the cap over it and wrap a silk scarf around the head ? Or would this change the way the hair falls the next day?

at least once a week, but it was pretty hot in GA when I had them so my hair felt dry often causing me to oil my scalp 2-3x a week
