I appreciate Jay saying he "doesn't train hard" because it's important to put into context that this level of volume is only possible if you lower your intensity. There is nothing wrong with this approach and obviously it took Jay to the top - But it's important newbies understand that you can't train 6 days training every set to true muscular failure. For 99% of natties that's going to mean under-recovery and plateau. Volume and Intensity are in an inverse relationship and it's about finding your personal balance of the two.

Depends on a few things, if you have good form to prevent injuries, sleep well and eat well and by well I mean whole foods, no fast foods etc then I don't see why you can't. I train a silly amount of sets, I'll do 3-6 drop set super sets take a 1 min rest and straight back into another 3-6 sets before a break.. for about 80-90mins. The only injury I've had is in the elbow/forearm due to weak grip. I train super hard almost every day after having no food for about 10-12 hours, eat all day until sleep.. yes it's more than likely riskier, can be done though.

I love Jay Cutler truly one of the legends! BUT do not do this workout split if you are natural. It will not work. There is not enough recovery. I spent years doing volume training just like this split and never really built any sizable muscle or size or strength. But until last year, when I stumbled upon Mike Menter high intensity training and going to failure with little volume and lots of rest days in between that I started seeing crazy results.

I never understood why so many people do back and bi together, there’s no logical reason that I’m aware of. Never been a big fan of combining muscle groups, I’ve always been of the mindset that I’m there for a specific muscle group and I’m gonna put all my effort into fucking up those muscles on that day. Right now I do: Biceps Triceps Chest Legs Back Shoulders Rest day Not in that(or any) particular order, but I do space out the tricep and chest day. My lat work does get thrown in on either back day or shoulder day though.

Most important thing to note here is that he doesnt train mike mentzer style to past failure so he doesnt need as much recovery time for a muscle group, also everybodys body recovers at different speeds, lifestyle, corsitol level, test levels, sleep, so train in a way that suits you as long as you are getting the recovery correct

After 40s and 50s, TRT or hgh is what people are using. I don't care who you are, you're not going to be in this condition unless you were already enhanced and as you get older use the recovery window of 48 to 72 hours.

I do chest back and arms, shoulder and legs and core. Then do core then repeat. Or don't even rest just depends on. My body. But this is when I have time. If not I'll just do chest back and arms, legs shoulder and core weight lifting. Then that's it for the week.
