Great review for an awesome keyboard. Interesting looking switches, kinda seem like the best of both worlds with a tactile hump but faster speeds like a linear. If I get this board I hear the pcb fits in standard 60% cases so I might upgrade the case and stabilisers later
@Teknickel
@Teknickel 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it does actually, but always double check on the cases for minor detail variations

Right now, the Space65 Cyber Voyager, which I do have coming in soon. Also been eyeballing the IDOBAO ID80, as well as a budget 60% that I should have coming at some point.

Been starting digging with the mechanical keyboard werld as well, I'd like to know if those switches are also "SMD" backlit compatible? I've got local markets selling ones with translucent housing but is tagged as "LED" compatible only not SMD lights.

Goes the pcb support plate mounted stabs?
@Teknickel
@Teknickel 4 жыл бұрын
Like putting plate mount stabs on the PCB? That'll be a no. The PCB can support PCB mount stabs, because there are holes for them, BUT word on the street is that they don't support all kinds (also you might have to get a different plate to support the stabs). It's definitely safer to use some nicer plate mount stabs.

what plate is that?
@Teknickel
@Teknickel 4 жыл бұрын
It's a gk64 plate which fits 60% boards. You can tell which one it is by the irregular shift key row being slight more left, causing the 3 rows of alphas to be evenly spaced, and the left shift key turning into a 2U key.

i'm surprised that it's the 2u shift that bothers you, not the 1u shift on the right. Was it weird typing on that?
@Grimmwoldds
@Grimmwoldds 4 жыл бұрын
It's awkward to hit the right shift in the center if you don't have large hands(so no sweat with 1u, that's where people normally hit it), while the left shift doesn't even require a stretch. This is probably amplified by the slight repositioning of the QAZ stack(noticeably more vertical than a normal keyboard layout)
