I started a Keto diet over a year ago and I've lost over a 130 pounds and I'm so happy to have found you now, since following you and implementing your nutrient timing I do feel even better. As for your smoothie recipe I like to keep my sugar intake lower, so I made it with blueberries and I used frozen avocados for a thickener and good fats plus the nutrients that you would get from a banana. Keep making your great videos.

The fibrous husk of flaxseeds can’t get broken down by hydrochloric acid, so you will just poop them out and miss out on nutrition. Make sure you grind them a bit prior to ingestion!
@rubynugent21313 жыл бұрын

What are your thoughts on soaking Chia seeds before putting them in the smoothie? Do you think that’s necessary?
@AutumnBates4 жыл бұрын
It depends on the strength of your blender. If you have a high powered blender that can thoroughly grind the chia seeds, then you shouldn't need to soak it prior (unless your GI tract doesn't respond well to un-soaked chia seeds). Otherwise, you can either soak the chia seeds OR grind them in a coffee grinder before adding to your smoothie.

I'm not sure this supports fat burning at all levels. 1. There isn't any COMPLETE protein sources in this smoothie 2. The sugar content of the smoothie will spike insulin which is great for pre or post workout to replenish glycogen stores but you shouldn't be spiking insulin any time outside of that window ESPECIALLY if you want to burn fat. 3. That simply isn't enough volume to keep many people satiated and then you throw in a consistent training regimen which more often than not requires more food (of higher quality of course). I just simply can't see anyone being satisfied with it. I'm not hating just simply stating truths and my position of disagreement.
