I'm glad I didnt go through what some of these vets did but without them America would get steamrolled. Years ago i was a machine operator and the woman i was working with, Sergeant in the force who got around, started to unravel when the machines alarm went off. Reminded her of air raid CWIS thing going off. Those moments are why there is a Veterans day, thats just some mellow shit im sure compared to the extreme experiences that can be had in a warzone, up to and including death.
