No one is entitled or "deserves" life. Everyone is entitled to a fair chance at life. Big difference. Life itself is EARNED. Anyone can look at it anyway they like, but either way, simple or complex, NO ONE is entitled to LIFE. Just a fair CHANCE to survive long enough to EARN a continuous survival or "life" Everyone and everything, all things existing in nature, EARN their continued survival. It's not granted to you as some unalienable right. The moment an individual is able, they accrue a means of income through employment which then is utilized to produce or purchase resources. Everything else before the individual is able, SOMEONE ELSE is earning not just THEIR own fair chance of survival but also yours also until you're able to become self sufficient. We don't have the "RIGHT" to life specifically because survival is earned and we all know that. It's ingrained into is at the beginning. For example, a farmer has earned his survival by growing crops and raising cattle. He's earned his continued survival and will continue to do so as long as he continues to earn it by consuming and renewing his vital resources. BUT if he had the unalienable right to LIFE, he could simply just stop farming and immediately sit on his ass and refuse to farm. Then DEMAND someone supply him food and water i.e. resources, all simply because he DESERVES life, and or ENTITLED to life. But as I said, we all know it doesn't work like that. Life is NOT guaranteed, deserved, or entitled. Life and or continual survival is EARNED.

Damn. I overlook it most of the time, but being satiated after a large meal just feels so good and relaxing. I would hate to feel hungry all the time. It's the little things we take for granted that often make all the difference.

@elitadream6 жыл бұрын
VectorImage - You're very wrong, actually. First of all, the meaning of taking something for granted is when we don't appreciate it, even though it would be considered a blessing by those who don't (or can't) have it. It can be virtually anything positive or beneficial that isn't universally accessible, from money to good eyesight, the right to vote, a house of even health. It has nothing to do with technology specifically. And second, no, we don't actually *need* to be full to stay alive. You could always eat in very small doses that would keep you starving, but still functioning to an extant nonetheless. This considered: yes, the very fact that you have the possibility and option of eating until feeling full *is* a luxury that many cannot experience, and thus, something you do likely take for granted. So there you go.
@elitadream6 жыл бұрын
Baron Von - Totally! And my favorite meal would happen to almost be the exact same. A nice portion of seasoned, medium rare grilled steak with fries and a side of steamed veggies is just pure contentment in my book. With chocolate cake and tea for dessert. :3 After an eventful day, the idea of an appetizing meal just generally put me in a good mood!

I work with clients that are diagnosed with PWS. I am a provider and these children (when put into an appropriate behavior intervention) can train their brains to sense "fullness." Is this hard to achieve? Yes. If parents are willing to fully engage in applying extinction through the removal of the negative and or positive reinforcer it can be done fairly easy. The problem is trying to get parents on board and be consistent. Also, they now have medication through nasal spray that can help the child or adult to feel "full". The spray has done wonders for PWS children.

Christy isms I know, I'm related to some people like that on my dad's side. Their problem is two things: one, they're all battling chronic pain and; two, they are all also possessed by addictive personalities. One drives them to find a way to cope, the other makes them seek a high. If they're not overweight, they're drug addicts, typically they're into opiates to cope with the pain. No one knows what causes the pain, though.

Such a nice family, they shouldn’t go through this, I understand how it’s hard for a family to go through something that tells you that’s not him and he’s suffering, it’s hard, my sister died a few years ago. From sickness, and I was so little I couldn’t help her when she was watching me and I had to watch her throw up blood 1 time i cried a lot, she cried a lot, and it hurt. Now my brother is in a medical coma, but thank the lord he’s doing well, he can’t talk to me 😰. He’s my best friend. Please give prayers, it helps more than anything. Thank you 🙏

always hungry and never full are two very different things, i think the bigger impact of prader-willi is the learning disability, the mental retardation that they obviously suffer from, people with down syndrome similarly overeat and must be closely monitored even having food padlocked away.
@Sullyzorz29 жыл бұрын
***** man i can't even imagine being constantly hungry, if i've gone a long shift at work i know the temptation to just go out and get Mc'D's rather than go home and make something healthy. Having that urge all the time must be like a mental prison of consumption.

This must be a horrible burden for someone to have handed down onto a person, I will never understand his syndrome the way his parents do, but all I can do is hope that they can make it through a little longer. Life takes more than it gives sometimes. It’s also sad to think that this kid was doomed as soon as he was born, but what gets me the most is that, this kid can’t help himself, he realizes it and I think to an extent it saddens him. To think that I’ve been in the dirt a few times compared to living like this, I feel like I couldn’t match that level of suffering. I know I’m writing a lot, but it’s hard for me to not convey this sense of horror bestowed onto a child that didn’t deserve it. For sometimes death is more merciful than life For life is but battle after battle We all eventually lose that battle. (I tried writing poetry, I don’t care if it sucks i just hope that I got my message across) (have a nice day, it’s a depressing video but I hope this comment helped :)

Prader-Willi is like the magic bullet of genetic illnesses, where each defect is not life-threatening in itself, but when placed into our modern environment, turns the person into a self-destructing time bomb.
