@@XxTayC94xX *Trigger warning! Discussion of vomit and of pets dying.* * * * * * I used to work in an emergency and specialty vet hospital. Over the years, I saw *way* too many pets die after coming into contact with something deadly. It can be the difference between life and death to tell the vet what the dog ate, and about how much. I'm not sure how the vet would be able to tell what the dog ate. Even if they gave the dog an emetic and a charcoal lavage (the usual protocol to start with), it's not always possible to identify partially-digested stomach contents. If the dog drank something, tore off pieces of petals or leaves, or ate something that dissolved in the stomach, it would be impossible to identify. Plus, everything comes back up covered in black slime, because of the charcoal. There's actually a poison hotline that vets can call for information on how to treat specific poison ingestions, as the treatment for one If the gardener put out rat poison, then the vet knows to give pupper a coagulant, as rat bait is an anti-coagulant. The dog could basically bleed to death internally if the doctor doesn't know that information. If the dog ate lillies, then the vet needs to carefully monitor the kidneys, because that's where the toxin does the most damage. The dog could have been bitten by something. Though, there's usually swelling at the site of the bite, making it more obvious that that's the problem. The doc would need to know what bit pupper, because some bites require antivenin, and some require supportive care. The dog could have an allergy to something non-poisonous, requiring antihistamines and close monitoring of swelling in the throat. If the dog didn't eat anything poisonous, but got cut on a thorn, or something, the pupper could have tetanus. Of the dogs who came in with tetanus, only one survived. That dog was with us for weeks in our quarantine area, because light and sound were incredibly painful to the pup. The bill was astronomical--about as much as a new, compact car--even after a massive discount. While the ex-friend was absolutely in the wrong for letting the dog roam, they wee doing the right thing by trying to find out what the pupper came into contact with. Though, the pictures OP sent should have made it obvious that it was impossible to identify what the dog ate or came into contact with.

Man she does make it sound like that, but part of me is on the fence. I know I used to drink with my husband, get shit faced, black out , and look and act completely normal. However, the next day I wouldn't remember like 80% of my night so my husband would fill me in. I'd always ask him, "wow did I seem drunk and stupid," and he would tell me no I'd walk and talk fine. I did that many times and we were intimate many times while we were both wasted, but he remembered it. If someone did drug the drinks there is no telling how they would act. They knew each other and were already comfortable around each other..i think it is possible they hooked up in the moment and didn't remember it. If she was thankful he was taking care of her ( plus being out of it ) they got in that mood I could see it. She has been with him a decent amount of time and has never had any indication he is a bad person . The jacket on her face could have been a drunken/ drugged moment. I've gotten cold many times while drunk and ended up covered up with clothing on my face, feet, etc. This of course is just one view or possibility. The other one is a sick an disturbed one if he wasn't wasted and did fully take advantage of her. If they were both drugged and both wanted to hook up in that state and didn't remember that is messed up, because he does sound like a sicko when he might be a good guy. I just think if he was a weirdo once she found out about the DNA she would have started thinking about all the strange things. Then been like whoa he is a creep and left him . Instead she took time, thought about it, and said he was amazing and she loved him. He agreed to counseling, offered to take DNA ( not knowing she already had), and he gave her space when she asked. It just doesn't really sound like he is a psycho.. That's what makes me think it was a really bad night that turned into something good, and maybe it was the ppl who drugged everyone's fault not theirs. If it was ecstasy that makes u very touchy/ loving and u want to be intimate on plus alcohol bad mix. Which could be why nobody remembered what happened. Just going to explain this a bit. Yes, due to how bizarrely the mind works, it is very possible that OP's husband did indeed remember helping her and not having s*x with her. My friend and I had been drugged before at a bar by the bartender and it weird things to our brains. I was lucky in that I always keep a backpack with me, and had water to dilute the drug immediately and could drive us home, but my friend was not as lucky (neither of us realized we were drugged until much later, I just thought I was tired and the alcohol was having too much effect, so made sure I could drive by chugging water). There were parts of my friend that were there and those that weren't. Thinking back to that, I could absolutely see him consciously trying to help an incapacitated woman out of danger, but then also having the subconscious follow-through of the whole "damsel in distress" fantasy and... yeah. Sexuality is quite easily activated in a subconscious state. Hence morning wood, wet dreams, etc., and a drug designed to put someone in that exact state is obviously going to increase the likelihood. Basically, he remembers the "saving", because it was done as a conscious action, and doesn't remember the r*pe, because it was done subconsciously as a sort of follow-through. Drugs do weird things to your mind.

NTA for story 1. Dog owners like suzanne really annoy me. I have a dog and see this sort of irresponsible behaviour all the time when I take my dog on walks.... dogs will appear out of nowhere with no owner in sight and it's quite worrying because I don't know these dogs, I don't know if they are aggressive or will attack my dog if we go closer... they could be friendly but I don't know that. You can never be too careful because I've had other dogs which were not on a lead come up and attack my dog in the past so now everytime I see a dog off lead and with no owner it puts me on edge and I fear for me and my dogs safety. But these owners, they are either on their phone or talking to other people and their dogs are completely out of sight. They just don't care, you wouldn't do that to a child so why do they think its acceptable to do that with a dog is beyond me. You need to keep your eyes on them at all times because anything could happen. They are not only putting other people and there dogs in danger but their own dogs too. The dog could wander off the field and go onto a busy road (which has happened multple times) or the dog could go up to another dog who isn't so friendly and end up getting bitten or worse or even be taken by thieves... there's a lot of people around who steal dogs. If you're not looking and the dogs out of sight, they could quite easily be taken, especially a small dog... But these people don't think of that and the dangers they put their dog and other dogs in, just no consideration.

Mother's day story - regardless of wife, trip, and parental responsibilities...doesn't sound like OP put anything in to the trip (planning/finance), but even so a card and maybe simple flowers would show that he's still thinking of her. I almost imagine worst case, wife comes home from a long trip in a "special" day for OP to be chilling with the kids and is nonchalantly like "welcome home babe. Took care of the kids, no issues, happy you're back." Then goes back to watching the tv. On a day the wife was likely pampered by others, but still missing her spouse and kids at home for them to treat it like any other day. Where's the "special" show of appreciation by OP and kids? Maybe no wonder mom took a trip away from family...? We could speculate a lot of things based on limited details and general summaries, but people we consider special/close in our lives still want to be shown they are special and appreciated. OP not going out of their way to clearly show that and assuming taking care of the kids was "enough" makes him AH-ish. They should look into their love languages and adjust appropriately.

Yeah but note that the husband remembered, therefore couldn't have been drugged. Op said they'd blacked out the same as this before, and I assume blacking out drunk is different from blacking out drugged, so that implies op had been drugged in the same fashion before. There was no mention of the friends or anyone else blacking out either. You cannot tell me he was sober enough to cover her and her face, put her in the back of the car, and drive that car to her house (she woke up at home), but not sober enough to remember any of that. It just doesn't happen. He drugged her, repeatedly, and he covered her face so that if she did come around, she wouldn't id him. He knows exactly what he did. Other comments have even speculated that he did it to trap her; she has the kid, he steps up and takes care of it, solidifying him as a hero in her eyes so that he can manupulate her and gets the chance to date her. He is a scumbag.

Well, guess your lucky that you don't feel like suddenly raping someone while drunk, cause guess what, you would have still raped them, morally and legally. The OP didn't say she had any feelings towards the guy, so one of the times she blacks out she decides to have sex with him? Leading to the one scenario that almost seems like they raped each other equally drunk? Considering she was a 15 year old female and him a 17 year old male, I heavily doubt that they were equally impaired. He literally has EVERY reason to be lying. The chances of everything lining up that he didn't rape her is extremely low.

I think ppl are being a bit silly about OP's husband. OP can easily check and see if other ppl really DID have memory issues regarding the party. Also, idk why ppl are saying its weird he doesn't remember everything -- the only parts he remembers are at the very end of the night where he was sobering up, which isn't uncommon already with just blacking out. Add to that potentially drugs, which specifically can cause issues with memory, and it makes sense to me how he remembers only chunks and only of the end of the night. Everyone keeps saying he remembers it in graphic detail but i wouldnt even say that, just that he remembers some of the events. If they were both drugged, they could have literally had "consensual" (realistically neither of then could actually consent) sex and forgotten about it. The was she was found would make sense considering she was being taken home by a guy who himself was coming down off drugs/alcohol (if you've ever seen a totally wasted person trying to babysit another person, its a mess). Idk I think theres potentially too much to say he is for sure guilty or for sure innocent. Even ppl saying "what are the odds she blacked out at multiple parties???" Is kinda dumb lol. She was getting wasted with the same group of ppl. In HS my ex also got black out drunk with our friends at parties. And if one of their friends was into spiking shit, they very likely did it more than once. Back then, at least where i am, that wasbt a super unusual thing to happen at parties esp with a heavy party crowd. Shit got spiked a lot
