I think it was cool that you understand African History so much that being told that your ancestors are from a particular country is futile to you because the current national boundaries are artificial and were created for colonial means. I would like to get to that level some day in understanding African History. Your videos are never in vain. You have educated me as a Haitian American wandering about my DNA results, as well. I reluctantly took this test using the same company because i wanted to see what they would say about me as an Ethiopian. I actually got 95% Ethiopian with 5% Bantu. In another words 100% African. Which didn't surprise me as i can trace my ancestry 17 generations back, which is very common for Ethiopians to do. Contrary to popular belief a lot of Africans, even Eastern African are 100% pure. Just because most black Americans are mixed doesn't mean everyone else on the planet is mixed too. Don't project your ancestry onto others. Derek, nice to meet another fellow 100% African. *shakes hand* :)
@hometeamhistory8068 жыл бұрын
Thanks... Yeah these Ethiopians who take those Ancestry DNA test dont know that this "Eurasian" DNA is simply a case of misclassification. Those Africans simply left, had a new diet, environment etc and changed slightly; then came back to Africa. But the adapted genes are somehow disassociated from the African mold it clearly came from. Its very bizarre and culturally bias.
@HelloWorld19478 жыл бұрын
HomeTeam History Thank you! And it's getting worse because more and more Horn Africans are taking these DNA test, using Ancestry.com and are getting some really, really bizarre results! I don't know why Africanancestry isn't widely known because they would have a more accurate study pinpointing Horners. I feel like the other companies are just being lazy (or divisive) and just saying, ya'll are Arabs. Not realizing that Arabs can be as dark as Africans, especially the Gulf Arabs. They also failed to realize horner features can be found all over the rest of Africa. Your shirt says Angola, they're on the west most and south most of Africa and yet they look like us horners. The first Miss Universe winner was from Angola, she can pass for a Somali, Ethiopian, Sudan, women. My patience is running thin on this deliberate ignorance on African diversity. Really thin!

He is 100% Igbo from Nigeria and my mom Igbo, Fon from Ghana. *WOW* I never saw an African/Caribbean American get 100% you're special!...so AWESOME! I think it is awesome....think many folks get caught up on the skin color part. It means nothing because my parents had really interesting results but it was not specific to which parts of Africa my folks are from. The test I did with ancestry was also a bit vague so I used GEDMatch which was more specific by ethnic origin. I was mostly African but it included North African, East African and Middle East (these regions are 'black'?). I rarely see other Black Americans get these results. Also, I don't believe the NA part is real NA (I think it is mestizo). I want to do the African ancestry test next!

Jordan Left There are Black people in every country in Africa. That's like saying the USA is white. One can believe that; but, come to America and one will see all types of colors. They have Egyptian YTube videos showing Black skinned Egyptians with Afros. . One can easily pull-up "Afro-X"; in which "X = any country on earth". Like Afro-Iraqi, Afro-Iranians, Afro-Russians, etc. One will see the Black folk.

Jordan Left Point is the Middle East and North Africa are not only white. Too say what you said is not true. If the Middle East and North Africa are not Black, prove it. Oh yeah, check the genetics of Europeans oldest DNA since all mankind can trace The Most Recent Common Ancestor back to only one continent, AFRICA. Light skinned individuals did not genetically started mutating until only 7000 years ago in Europe. Before that they were Black since mankind first moved into Europe ~ 41,000 years ago. By the way, there are Black Africans in every European country, as well; but, do you see anyone saying Europe is not white?
