Amazing set up Gabe, pretty sure you’ll get hours of pleasure from it. I moved house this week and my wife has agreed to split our garage (when we’ve moved stuff into the house) into her gym and my sim studio. I’m torn between SkyTrak and Mevo+ but leaning towards the Mevo+ to avoid subscription costs. Would love a GC3 or BLP but really don’t think I’ll have the budget. I’ll keep you posted !

Gabe, very cool. I am planning to do a simulator in our barn and incorporate a bar area and movie theater seating. But currently the barn has open rafters, and I am wanting to fully enclose it before we put the simulator in. Anyway, the only thing I would suggest is to get some foam pipe insulation tubing and put over the exposed framing pipes of the screen. Just for a safety thing, if you happen to hit one a little sideways and it catches the pipe, it can scream back at you. Very cool room.

@chrisimes4782 жыл бұрын
Surprised you are you using the Monster Mat in that nice room as it throws and leaves little green slivers of mat ALL The Time all over the place! I like my MM, but man after a session or two of hitting it's an absolute mess with all the pieces of green that have pulled off the mat, onto the club then off the club again after hitting more. I would 100% keep the MM I think (though I am actually not a believer in it being great on the joints, it's a harsh jolt) if it wasn't for the 100 little green bit everywhere after a session of hitting and being a bit hard on the joints. I am thinking of returning and going with a more easy on the body SigPro Softy 4X7 setup and it leaves zero green on the clubs or makes any mess. That being said, AMAZING setup dude, I hope to have a spot in a new house down the road I can do this in. Great Job!!!!!

Nice build. FYI, If you cut out the simturf under the mat it will recess it for a better look and will not walk after every few shots.
@LetsPlayThru2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. What tool do you recommend for that?
@simgolf5032 жыл бұрын
@@LetsPlayThru A standard carpet blade. Set the hitting mat exactly where you want it then cut up against the mat for a snug fit. I should mention that my main turf is 1/4" tall and sits on top of 1" foam flooring. My hitting mat is 1-3/4" tall so it sits 1-1/4" deep and cannot move. You should consider how thick your simturf is before you cut it. (if it's too thin and it will still move)
