Very interesting topic! Drum machines can be of interest to everyone who is connected with working in the Studio. I'm also very interested!

Tufelka Honda even though I am not a drummer, and not serious about it, I still like to collect these drum machines sometimes, I have 10 drum machines so not as many drum machines as I have keyboards, keyboards in my collection is now over 130, I need to sell a few as I am becoming overloaded, I haven’t bought a drum machine in over 3 years, the last one being the DD-75

I had a DD-12 for a while....loved it. The little ribbon controller was pretty cool. It was reminiscent of the strum plate on an Omnichord. I traded the DD-12 for a different keyboard but replaced it a short time later with a DD-10. Some of these consumer-level drum machines are pretty good. Love you videos!

Sorry for the late reply, when you mentioned the ribbon controller, I think you might have been referring to the Yamaha DJX and not the DD-12 unless you had both instruments, and you're right, the ribbon controller does resemble the controls and effects of an Omnichord, I have an Omnichord somewhere and it is quite fun to mess around with, I also have the Yamaha DJX and the DJX-II, very good dance keyboards! Thanks for watching!

Never had a DJX but the DD-12 definitely has a little ribbon controller, right above the LED display. They called it the "scraper". When you run your finger or drumstick across it it would play drum fills, sound effects, or best of all, act like the stum-pad on an Omnichord. It was always in key with the background rhythm/bass-line so you couldn't hit a wrong note.

Hey! You also have a DD-5, DD-10 and DD-75 but never shown in this video. You're willing to get the following drum machines: Yamaha DD-3 Yamaha DD-7 or DD-8 Yamaha DD-12 or DD-14 Casio LD-50 Casio LD-80 And also don't forget to make a video about all the MIDI instrument sounds on the Yamaha DD-11, DD-50, DD-55c, DD-65, and DD-75 by connecting a MIDI keyboard to them!

Ahh yes I can explain that, I didn’t have the DD-5, DD-10 and DD-75 at the time I did this video but it wasn’t very long until I got those drum machines afterwards

Thanks for your comment! I got a DD-75 a few months after I have done this video and I've already done a video of the DD-75 so check it out. Thanks for watching!

@@KeyboardKrazy49 you think dd65 and dd75 are very different?
@KeyboardKrazy495 жыл бұрын
R4nds well they’re exactly the same when it comes to design but they are both in different colours, but the DD-75 has more drum sounds and more drum kits, and even has extra features the DD-65 doesn’t have, the DD-75 has some different songs and patterns on it too, I’m not a drummer myself, but it’s good to just have a mess around on them, I have 10 Yamaha drum machines now. Hope this helps in your decision to get either a DD-65 or 75!

t55a2 I'm not a drummer so I wouldn't get serious and get a proper drum kit, my dad used to have a kit and he never played it, I never touched it myself

RWL2012 just had a look at the drum machine you mentioned, I didn't know it was one of those drum machines, it does sound good, bet they will be quite pricey now because they are probably vintage
