I definitely think you should acquire physical media for favorite movies while you are able. We are in danger of losing the ability to watch obscure, indie, controversial, or outdated movies if we rely streaming services to provide them.

With physical media, so long as it’s intact, it’s yours forever. No one can decide you have to pay monthly fees to view it, only for it to be cycled out of the catalogue for that month. The company that licenses it to you also can’t decide you shouldn’t be able to access it if you acquired it through their service (see the guy who had over 20k dollars of media through Apple locked out) It’s why I’m trying to buy as many physical copies of games, music, and movies I can find for reasonable prices. Sure there’s emulators, okay quality mp3 files, and special movie sites online, but anything that can be willed away by a few pieces of legislation is probably not the best thing to hinge your bets on.

Re: Roar I have a regular house cat who's a little demon and bites me and scratches me all the time, and he's a whole 4.5kg in weight. I can't even imagine wanting to be that close to an untrained, unrestrained version of him that weighs 600kg.
