Hey everyone! Please let me know in the comments below how you prepare your hair at night and how you stretch your wash n go! Pineapples and the Banding method do not work well with my hair! Also, let me know if you have ever used silk bonnets and pillowcases in your natural hair routine, GAME CHANGER! The material is so soft and feels amazing on my skin and helps retain the moisture in my hair!

I finally tried this and THANK U! it’s been the best technique I’ve done ! I have coarse 4b and my hair loves the low manipulation the next day :)

It took years for me to come up with a night time routine for my WnG or even to get a WnG I liked on my 4a-c hair! I couldn't pineapple right for the longest, but last month on a whim I tried again and tried different stretching methods. So I pineappled at night with a silk scarf with a bonnet on over it. I didn't stretch my hair at night and made sure it was dry. In the morning it was shrunken but very defined, but my extra behind wanted to stretch it (unfortunately we I didn't have all my hair tools). Morning Stretching Techniques: 1. Twists - Twisted hair until 2/3 of the way down. Gave little to minimum stretch. Did this the first morning. Gave slight stretch. 2. Bantu Knots with Alligator Clips- Only had four. Lightly rolled hair while twisting into bantu knot. Left the ends loose. Did this the second day. Gave better stretch than twists and kept definition. 3. Braids - Braided hair 2/3 of the way down leaving ends loose. Did this with the hair that wasn't in bantu knots. Gave most stretch And I had definition. It's by far my favorite method!! Stretched hair in the morning for 30-45mins. Then took down. From now on I will braid to stretch! Only way I've been able to achieve both length and definition.

I have the same problem trying to pineapple😂 my hair would be a mess and I'd end up just putting it in a puff. So!! Thanks for this tip👍🏾 Funny- I call them pony tails too 😉💛 your hair still looks great.

Thanks for sharing. I have a really hard time retaining moisture. I used to spritz with water but then started using a cream, butter or milk on dry hair some nights or mornings. I think I may go back to spritzing after watching you. Do you use water every night and every morning, or just as needed?

Hi & thanks a lot for sharing ! I will try ur method ! I used to moisture my hair with my DIY leave-in (water + oil) and make 2 big braids. I prefer using a satin pillowcase rather than a scarf cause I move a lot when I sleep. Thanks again & HNY 2021

Thank you soooo much for posting this. My texture is similar to yours and pineapples just don’t work for me either! I wake up and it takes forever to get my hair to look right again 🤣 Can’t wait to try this method!

My hair gets frizzy/fuzzy when I mist it😩. And yes, I do use a fine mist spray bottle and not a regular spray bottle. Any advice on how to prevent the frizz?

I make sure to only use a small amount of water when misting my hair but also using a lot of product on first day also helps too because when the water reactivates the gel, the more product the less frizz for me! ❤️

I cant do wash and go's anymore. My hair completely changed after baby. I have to twist it up and tuck it away. The less I have it out the better. It no longer wants to be free and wild. 😆

Oh wow no way! I’ve never heard of that before but I have heard that the hair changes a lot during and after pregnancy due to hormonal changes! Hopefully you’re able to try a wash n go later in the near future ❤️
