Great knowledge. What I do is place the gun in the holster, chamber a round with the gun in the holster, drop the mag with the gun still in the holster, top off the magazine and than insert the mag in the gun while still holstered. A gun in the holster is a safe gun in my opinion.

Have you had anymore issues with failures to extract on the Zev?

Yes, within the first couple hundred rounds I had 2-3 fte with LAX remanned and Winchester silver tip jhp. Called zev and they said with Winchester and the LAX parent company, can’t remember off my head the name, that the tolerances cause some fte. I stopped using those brands, though I use southern munitions remanned ammo primarily, I haven’t had any since hitting the 400-500 rd mark. I trust the gun 100% with my carry ammo, federal hst and Speer gold dots, and the cheap southern munitions ammo I run.
