I lost my edges some years ago and I had random amounts of breakage throughout my hair. I realized it was because I was always slicking my hair up into a tight bun and laying my edges. Once I gave up the bun hairstyle and stopped using any gel on my hairline, my edges have come back. I haven’t laid my edges in 4-5 years and I’ve seen the difference. Plus once the hair grew in there I’ve sprouted cute little curls in the area so I’m not even tempted to slick them back. I know the laid edges are a trend, but hair health is more important. Good luck sis- they’ll come back.

I live for when influencers break the fourth wall, and let people know hair is a constant process! What we must remember sis, is the body is an living breathing organism. It’s always going through things even when it’s in harmony! My suggestions are invest in a shower filter if you don’t already have one. Because of everything that’s going on, purifying and getting not only your drinking water but the water that we bathe with to alkaline levels helps majorly! Also, make sure you’re really getting all of your front and back edges under the cap when deep conditioning. I’ve definitely noticed a difference of applying and oil to my scalp when deep conditioning helps! Juicing is another way to get that zinc in as well! Lastly, hair texture changes every 7 years apparently. And I’ve noticed it goes through crazy things when it’s in the middle of the cycle, especially due to hormonal shifts and stress levels. I’ve definitely had fall out and thinning that is starting to subside! You got this sis don’t worry just be consistent and smile!!!!!!!

I have Lupus so I’m hyper focused on my hair health and stress management, my rheumatologist (also natural) is actually the person who persuaded me to go natural since I’m prone to hair loss. I switched to the Lavender CurlMix line recently and it’s like it hates my hair, but I keep trying it with different amounts of product thinking I’m doing something wrong. That NaturAll Club deep conditioner made your hair look amazing before you did anything to it! You’re making me want to return that expensive CurlMix situation and try those NaturAll products. I started taking care of my hair again in February. I dab rice water on my edges and put Jamaican black castor oil mixed with peppermint, rosemary and lavender on top of them and leave them alone. My edges been falling out on and off since I started college.... I’ve been able to grow them almost all the way back

I pray and hope your hair grows back. I experienced hair loss because of stress some years ago. It’s very real. My hair will still shed more when I’m stressed although it does not “fall out” anymore. Naturall Products are a top 10 favorite, especially their shampoo and regular conditioner. Once it grows back, just try your best to take extra precautionary measures when you’re feeling stressed or feel it coming on. That is what helped me.

After Seeing that thumbnail and watching the video, it had me shocked. You have made such progress with your hair over the years. I must say that my hairline has been like yours for years. I have been struggling with it for years. Nice to see i am not alone. Thank you for your transperancy about your hair.

I’m sorry to hear about this. I know people in comments are probably giving you (some unwanted advice) but the “Hollywood Hair Bar: Regrowth Serum” and “Camille Rose: Rejuve serum”. I have used both and they have worked for me PERSONALLY, but I don’t have the coin to constantly buy them. If you do then try them if you want! Stay safe, love! ❤️

I feel you Kinfolk...natural hair requires SO MUCH time and effort. I am transitioning and dealing with two different hair textures is driving me crazy and I can't really do anything with it. I'm going to have it braided to keep my hands out of it. .And, I'll massage my edges 😁

Oh awesome how have you like that? In addition to taking it orally, I've been putting it in a leave-in/ayurvedic oils/aloe vera mix. I REALLY want to try it with fenugreek though. Have you noticed any results?

Have you looked into Ayurvedic methods? You don't have to use all the powders and stuff, you can start off with JBCO mixed with rosemary oil and peppermint oil for your edges.

Maybe you’re doing too much to your hair. There’s no reason to do so much to your hair. My hair is 3c4a4b waist length and I barely even touch it. I don’t style my hair though, I leave it in 6 twists and in a bun. I only moisturize when I wash. You do you but I think you are doing too much and using too many things in your hair.

Ok I’m a new subbie . I feel you with all the products on wash day 😆. I was weak off you. Not only that I use Canvas Beauty brand products and it features growth serum also. I love my products. Meanwhile the products you use has your hair at its maximum healthiness, love it!!🥰😍gorgeous hair. If I wasn’t happy with my products I’d try the ones you’re currently using honestly. I been there with the breakage sis. It’s not easy.

Girllll!!!!! Lemme tell you, i work as a pharmacy technician in cvs & with this pandemic happening I was so stressed that my hair THINNNED OUT which has never happened in my life before except for when I chemically messed with it with a relaxer years ago. I’m trying to get it back on track & ohmygosh the day I realized my hair wasn’t as full I almost had a mini breakdown needed my mom & boyfriend to calm my ass down. This pandemic messing with everybody!!!!

Totally! My edges and bangs started thinning like crazy. I got a blood test and it turns out it’s from an autoimmune disease. I definitely recommend a test rather than assuming it’s just stress or hereditary.

your hair is so healthy....just pray and treat it like a plant...water it, love it, give it some sun, trim it and use those oils on your edges and deep cond weekly...I need to tell myself this too! we also take the irish sea moss internally and externally along with blackseed oil...has been great! What did you tint your edges with?

Tamkea is telling the truth! Love her. I called her stressed over my ends that needed a trim. She trimmed my hair last may before she gave birth. She told me just keep d/c and keep the hair in twist and braids and leave it and repeat. I am doing the belle bar organic hair challenge which helps keeping my focused and encouraged.
