That tall red one is a protein treatment and mother earth is a clay mask, so both not made for slip. I don't think her line is bad, I think you just have to pick and choose what would work for your individual hair. I'd also read the descriptions for each product online first before buying them. The TPH oil is actually really nice for sealing in moisture for my 4B curls!
@wonderbutterfly33 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same. They didn’t fully read instructions or consider each product before using. You kind of need to determine what your hair needs in that moment before using any of them.
@nickimanij1310 ай бұрын
I use her products on my hair and my son's hair. Her twist and set, curl 4 days, the leave in conditioner, and the scalp conditioner. The scalp conditioner is perfect if you have in a protection style in. And I feel like they didn't choose the right products for their hair. Her curl 4 days is amazing for the curl pattern that she was looking for.

For everyone complaining that she all of a sudden went natural, I didn't know there was timestamp of when a person could go natural. She's a grown woman and could go natural whenever the hell she pleases. She tried something out, she launched a product. I'm proud of her. I have sisterlocks so only a few of her items will work for me, but I will support her. Her product will work for some, and it may not work for others. But she did a brave thing...

This was a great review! I feel like celebrity product lines are missing the mark lately! If they took the time to watch the natural hair community and a do a lil more research they might be a little more successful. Their celebrity stylist seem to steer them the wrong way and they just put their name on anything. But hopefully they will look at this video and say you know what maybe we should hire them to help develop better products.

Hercurlzrbadd I was thinking the same thing!! I always wonder like, “These are black women, with natural hair right? How can they miss the mark this bad!?💁🏽♀️” If I was a celebrity with the opportunity to make my own natural hair line......FOR THE PEOPLE......I would make the best product I could. I’d make sure my product actually preformed the way I NEEDED a good product to. It just seems like they’re after our dollars and don’t care how these products perform 🤷🏽♀️. I would love to support her if she had actually made a good product, FOR US!! I seriously doubt that she uses these products in her hair. Honestly I’d rather support the smaller lesser known, black-owned companies who really put in the time and effort because they’re natural, and couldn’t get what they needed in a commercial brand, so they made their own.

@dd1233874 жыл бұрын
I understand what others saying, but I also understand what the OP is as well (at least, I *think* I do). Well, this is my interpretation/my opinion: we've, as of late, have just started her natural scalp right around the launch of her line. It's the timing aspect. Let's be real--she's a celebrity, she's a BUSINESSWOMAN--these products are [were originally marketed as]"for Black/natural hair" [but has "ALL hair types" on the containers] and the the creator in the limelight. She's literally her own walking advertisement and brand (AND IT'S FREE)... just like Tracee (I heard her hair products were not good either). Celebrities/entertainers; White, Black, Asian, etc. want OUR money. Drop a clothing line = wear your brand's own clothes Drop a makeup line = wear your brand's own makeup It can come across as .... well, p h o n y . I'm not trying to say that it is. Maybe this is the best time for her to do it. She has officially reached this level of financial/career success (EMPIRE ending, winning a Globe, her fanbase has broadened = mainstream) and she's engaged and feels like she can do whatever she feels/has freedom like now because of her long, bumpy journey in Hollywood/life when she couldn't. But even if Taraji uses her own products; she can still get her hair done by any stylist of her choosing at any rate. 🤷🏽
@Kallah_DaughterOfYAHUAH4 жыл бұрын
blahew aww and ofcourse! there is always ONE! one THINKER of the bunch! BLESS YOU! lol what ii precisely mean (what insinuation ii THOUGHT was clear) is that when we start to use “faces” to promote products that they have not naturally promoted through their own personal image and use (something hollywood has always done. i.e. proactive commercials) especially when it’s a product with an underlying connection to particular historic societal constructs, it becomes as you put it “phony” and dare ii say “dangerous”. you enter a slippery slope of over saturation and market takeover. which has NEVER EVER turned out well for OUR endeavors. if you wouldn’t have tried to promote a “natural hair care” brand 5..10 years ago before it was “cool”, “on trend” or “in style”....my theory is don’t do it now. if there was a lack of others with the same goal or within demographic then...yeah sure why not, full that space!...but that’s not the case. lol leave that space for the girls who TRULY love and live this. who truly have been trying to represent that market and gain inclusion, who have been doing this for years. ii’d more respect putting your money and connections behind a lesser known natural hair care brand and using THAT to promote them, use your face and make ads for them and push them to become the huge big-box-chain brand you esteem yours to become. just saying. lol especially in a market about realness, naturalness, and authenticity it’s ripe with none of the above. lol quite comical and ironic if you think.

Protien is rarely ever a conditioner. I am wondering why they thought yhat was supposed to have slip or detangle.... Aphoghee is a protien mask to be clear in what a protien mask is...

Taraji P Henson is one of the most genuine celebrities out there. If the products didn't work for y'all cool. That doesn't mean it won't be perfect for the next person. She developed her line because a lot of the products out there didn't work for her. There are some people that love her line.

Definition is good with Tough Cookie; however, mad white flakes when it dried next morning. Same thing happened to me. I was sooooooooooo tight. Glad to know it wasn’t just me

I went to Target the week after this line was released and warned people. If a product is not listing their ingredients some shady sh*t is going down. But no one believed me 😭 thanks for having my back @NaturallyPhilo

Great collaboration, ladies! I heard that twi and I was thinking to myself, "These are my sisters!" I recently bought the heat protectant, Hot Commodity at my local Target since I'll be blow drying and prepping my hair for braids soon and don't have one currently. It doesn't look like you guys tried out that particular product from this line but I'll give it a try and hope it works for my hair. Appreciate the detailed review. I think I'll steer clear from TPH line in general after seeing more negative than positive reviews.

I have no problem with trial and error just as long as they take these reviews into consideration and make the product better.

I appreciate you two trying this! I definitely did not want to try it in my hair after Pattern made my hair super brittle and I had larger clumps coming out.
