Hi Chris, I hope you don't mind me offering an opinion and it's offered in love... I think we all need a hope outside of this world that is firm and stable. We are made to know God and love Him and be loved by Him eternally. Nothing else can fulfill for very long and an intelligent man feels this pointlessness and emptiness deeply. Call out to Jesus Christ and ask Him to make Himself known to you with an honest and humble heart. Why Jesus? Why not? Seems like a pretty good place to start, plus He is real and answers those who genuinely seek Him. Your life does have an eternal purpose and it's wonderful. John.

First and foremost, Getting rid of alcohol is awesome! Proud of you. I am 15 years sober. Used to drink like a mad man. Drinking never had a positive outcome. Since stopping I see things much clearer now. I was also in a dark hole, thought I'd never find my way out. Every one of us has things we have to deal with. Thank you very much for the video. It takes courage to let strangers hear your thoughts. Looking out for others through life is a great feeling. At the end of the day you gotta do you. If you're not happy with yourself, how are you going to make others happy. Stay strong my friend, we're with you!

Stranger things can sometimes be the most rewarding. Chris's story of the shopping line reminded me of a time that happened to me. Woman in front kept getting card declined, was getting stressed and tearful so I just asked the cashier to try mine. Line started moving again, I turned tears and frowns into smiles and did my own little bit of magic that day.

This is great Chris. I started meditating when I was 17, had a massive awakening experience that changed my life, and continued practicing ever since. Many, many small and large breakthroughs occurred since then over the years. I was miserable as a teenager and young adult. And I am so happy now. I have so much peace in my life. I'm so happy you started meditating and looking at your mind. It's such an incredibly freeing process. So many people live in fear of the intensity of their own minds, but when we take a good look at them, we see that the "intensity" is all that it is. That there's really nothing behind it that can hurt us, and if anything, we gain insights (sometimes profound insights) that change our perspective about ourselves and the whole world, and bring lasting peace. Good for you and I'm so happy for the life change and the barefootedness, and the baremindedness!

Sitting with emotions is living in gray space, it is so hard because its much easier to see the world in black and white. I got so emotional when you were talking about living in the moment and enjoying “the thing”. I often overwhelm myself with the ideas I have in my head about where I should be. I try to be successful in my career, my business, and through my social media channels… is it enough? My parents passed away a few months ago and sometimes I feel that I don’t have anyone to make proud. I’m doing all these things but, what for. That moment you described in the store is the moment I’m craving in my life.

Life is a struggle. Hard to find your place. Waking up doing the same thing everyday, work,eat,sleep and recycle. Raising a family,being broke,grinding always grinding. But the one thing that gets me through is my family. Knowing that when im gone that everything I worked for,everything I bought, all the time I put into the stupid little things. They dont matter. The memories you make with your friends,with your family, with your loved ones. Thats what will be left behind,thats what will be remembered. So take a step back, stop stressing. Everything will somehow,someway, it will work out.
@Requinix17

Being remembered doesn't really last very long either though, unless you're some kind of influential historical figure. How often do you think about your ancestors who died in the 1800s?
@salex4108

@@Requinix17 being remembered at all is the point...one maybe two generations and your forgotten. Most of us won't be famous. Most of us won't be remembered by anyone other then our loved ones. So making those memories so that you aren't immediately forgotten. Why stress your entire life for wealth and possessions or move so fast through life that when it comes for you to leave. It was all for nothing. Generational wealth again will be appreciated only by the immediate family member. After that 2nd generation they will just know you as the person who made them rich. Bottom line...enjoy your life,slow down,stop stressing.

Chris, I had a realization like that in the grocery store line too 🤣 I stopped drinking alcohol last year and started down a similar path of mindfulness and reconnecting with myself; we've come to learn a lot of the same core principles. The future (anxiety) and the past (depression/regret) only exist in our thoughts. It's up to us to let the past live in the past and the future live in the future, while we strive to live life to it's fullest in the present moment. Thanks for making this vid.

Here's what I'm gleaning from this: The passion was there in the beginning. The joy, the excitmenet, the adventure, all that was there in the beginning. You were doing something you enjoy and started to make a living out of it and it was great! ...until it wasn't...not anymore at least. It became a beast of burden on your heart, your mind, your body, and even your spirit in the end. I think purpose is the "thing". Purpose started being the "thing" you have been searching for and asking about. I think purpose is what you've been lacking internally and stopped seeing on your current path in life. Not to say your current path in life is wrong in anyway; you still create wonderful content that I've been watching for years! But man, if you're not happy with the path, then it's time to travel a new one. It shows how generous and compassionate you are as a human being that you've managed to white knuckle this path you've been on soley because of your concern for others on your team man; and I want to make sure you know that - you have a good heart and the world is better for it. And I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to your staff; that must have been one of the hardest decisions you've ever had to make given how kindhearted you are. But man let me encourage you for a moment: You are so blessed right now for 2 reasons: 1) you are blessed that you were able to notice and recognize how unhappy you are - honestly, not a lot of people can pinpoint the source of their unhappiness, and you have! You've taken a hard look at your path, and realized it's time to step off and search for a new one. Which leads to 2) You are BRAVE. You are realizing that if you continue on this path, you will continue to be a person you don't want to be, and you're taking action! That takes real courage Chris; a lot of people wouldn't be able to fathom taking something they've built, something successful might I add, and lay it down to search inward on a new path into the unknown - somwhere they haven't had to go to in years. And you're doing that! I know we don't know eachother, but I'm seriosuly very proud of you man. This is inspriational, what you're doing right now. Your people will be fine, your finances will be fine, everything will be fine, as long as you continue to follow your heart. The path might look differently and not something you expected, but what you'll receive because of it is the very thing that you had in the beginning of this channel; happiness, and from that excitement, and from that adventure, and from that, purpose, and from that peace in your heart - knowing you're right where you need to be in life. And id I'm way off on this assesment, than I'm sorry you wasted your time reading this lol. But if there was a chance I was even remotely hitting the mark, I wanted to take the time to encourage you anyway. You've been there for all of us over the years and made our lives better for it, and I guess this is my way of giving back to you. Thank you for your vulnerability and honesty, and I sincerely look forward to your future, because it looks pretty bright to me.

Hi Chris, I love your story, you have no idea how much I can relate to it. Just hit 50 and went almost to the same transformation as you did. From "it's all about things, other people, views, likes and making it to the next thing!". I was damn close to my third burnout when my mom got sick and made my world crumble. I mentally hit the floor and saw what life is all about, "The things that really matter, here in the present!", I started to look inside of me and see the big picture. Consciousness was/is the red line. Happiness is in the small things, things you take for granted until it isn't. It taught me to be grateful and stay in the present. See things for what they are. If you write down 10 things that you can't miss in life that keep you going, then cross five things from that list off. What's left are the things you should truly focus your energy on. From that happiness will thrive. Somehow you kinda did that already, you became conscious, you see now what matters. Having that is what to you? Thanks for sharing!

This is the most pretentious thing I’ve ever seen on KZbin . Brags about laying off %90 of his employees, witnesses a struggling woman to pay for her groceries but won’t even step in to cover the minuscule amount of groceries . But claims of having a spiritual awakening. Doesn’t set an example for spirituality what so ever .

I pulled away from magic and card tricks a long time ago. But that was the first memory I had when it came to socializing or making friends. I was a shy kid and magic was the only way for me to be looked as "not a freak" by the other kids. Growing up, I realized that school were filled with savage kids. No filter in anything they say or do. But I move passed those times and made friends along my journey of life. When I discovered your channel a few years ago. I loved your videos and they remind me of the times I learnt magic tricks just to show my friends or new people. Magic was never really my hobby or something I'm invested in but I do enjoy learning a few tricks here and there. And your videos are enjoyable and I always have a smile on my face. You've thought me tricks and those give me memories of the practice I had to overcome to present a simple card trick. Time flies and I learnt to live in the moment and that is what this video is about. And thank you for reminding me. No matter what life throws at you, just live your life to the fullest and don't hide anything. Don't do something that you'll look back at life and say you regret doing any of that. No matter what you choose to do now, I am so glad to have found your channel and I am grateful to have been subscribed for the past 5 years. You rock man and I'll stick around to see how you'll do from here on out. Much love

Chris you are doing what you need to. Burn out is real and only those who have channels older then a few years can really sympathize the rest can empathize which is not the same. I experienced the same thing durring my journey and it's only fixed when you learn to "live in the moment". Not trying to sound like Yoda but it's a cliche for a reason. People need to realize rock bottom is right next to sky high. We love ya and you got this. Even if this is your last video you have touched and help all of us and shown us the road to success is individual. Stay strong and weak at the same time. Your awesome and look forward to your next adventure. God bless and you got this.

My son and I have been really Into your puzzle videos lately and this one just came up. And I think this is your best video. I am so happy for you to find this change in your life. I love the barefoot thing!! I recently learned human adult feet are more or less deformed from years of tight shoes. Our toes are meant to spread not come to rounded point. Wish you the best in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Chris, 60+ year old man here. I was going to comment on the video you made a few years back about burnout as I KNEW EXACTLY where you were headed and now you have reached that exact point. You are going down the path that myself and many others have. "Nothing is forever". Everything you said here rings true. You talked about how you have "all this stuff collecting dust". Now well into by 60's I have found out on this path, when I was much younger, I was full of vim and vinegar, now at this age I have dumped almost all that "stuff" in my life and live in a much smaller house with just a sparse amount of things. I have absolutely no desire to deal with all the stuff, "less is more". The Lord is my Shepard and I shall not want. It doesn't surprise me in the least you are where you are at and that being the good man you are you took care of those around you. You have tremendous self reflection. I could see you as being a good teacher as you are here later in life. Perhaps here on YT and on a personal basis, as well as visiting children's hospitals and the such and cheering up others with your magic and wit. Take care my friend in magic the road ahead is as fun as you make it. Don't know if you are married or not but I was blessed enough to finally find "the one" in my late 50's. Changed my life.

Chris, was just watching third eye drops and saw your name and photo get flashed towards the end of his latest drop. Dude, last time I was into you, and forgive me it's been 4 or 5 years and I thought I was subed, but I found you because of mine/your interest in card magic and deck collecting. So COOL that you've evolved. I'm so happy that you're finding the REAL value in and of life. Im the biggest UFO freak, now for like close to 50 years. It's amazing how similar those are, who find themselves attracted to the Fortean realm, and performance excellence in all manner of artistry. The Mental Illness aspect of this video really resonated with me as it's something that I've dealt with my entire life. You're right Chris, the path that just leads to the next thing is path-oh-logical. It's clearly what's driving our world that we all live in to utter insanity, which is sad. As your excellent drop here elucidates, we need above all things to BE THE PATH.

Thank you Chris. It's nice to see the human side. My source wasn't nearly the same scale but I've been going through a bit of a life renaissance myself these last few months. I feel more like myself again than I have in years. It's amazing how just being present, and trying to not worry about the next thing has really improved me. I have young kids so life is a bit chaotic, but now I try to just be. I know I will always worry, seems to be my nature, but this process has taught me how to deal with that, and plan for it more appropriately. For instance, I was gone for 2 hours today from work for a spontaneous hike...but I got to take my 9 year old up on a trail in the mountains for the first time (we just moved here). I knew it was going to be slow, it was not a very convenient time, but I wanted to do it; it just felt right. The thought of what I might have been missing at work popped into my head here and there, but I accepted that getting this 1:1 time with him was worth it, and to just be present with him. We had a beautiful time (we often butt heads) and I will remember the journey so much more than the fleeting thoughts I had along the way. I'm glad you've discovered what works for you and I hope you can continue on this path. It's difficult to not fall back into old habits but stay strong. Enlightenment and peace is something generations have seeked for millennia, there must be something transformative about it that causes us to pursue it so intensely.

Hey Chris. Just wanted to pop in and say, I feel this. I'm on a personal journey myself and everything you're saying here resonates with me. Thanks for posting this and sharing a more intimate moment with us. Keep to this path that you are on, even when its hard, because its obviously doing wonderful things for your soul. Peace and love💜 Also, walking barefoot is not stupid. Grounding yourself with this rock we are riding around in space is truly an amazing thing. Its helps with remaining present in the moment.

I appreciate the fact that you have come on here and opened up about what you were going thru and what you are currently working towards, I just wanted to say I am extremely happy, excited and most of all proud of you for fighting back against whatever it may have been that had you feeling lost. Also I agree with the person a few comments down, we fell in love with the puzzle, card and magic guy and will continue to support and walk with you through you're journey.
