Well if I saw some photo's of it that would make me wonder. However my advice to this guy would be this. I would say that she is an expert at editing photo's and she wants to plant a seed of doubt, so she says that it was not sexual at that time. Why? To make me out to be some type of liar and that she is the honest one here. Long term plan is to break us up. So how can I prove it to you? I will take a lie detector test and after I pass, which I will, then WE will cut this lady out of our lives. I will also have you talk to as many of my friends and family to help verify my story. Yes they ALL could by lying, but the odds of that are slim. I would then ask her if the roles were reversed, what would she do? If she had an ex that just happened to be an expert at graphics editing, and the photo's were not real. How would she prove it to me? This now comes down to trust and have I EVER given any reason for you to not trust me? Now is there a chance that perhaps this EX does still harbor some ill feelings towards me and that she knew about us when you joined the group? So now I am at a point, I would do all that and anything else you want to prove my innocence here. I will even pay for her to take a lie detector test as well. All I ask is this. After I pass and she refuses, which she will, or she will have some excuse why she can't do it that day, then after all that, you never see her again. She is damaging our marriage.

Yeah, people forget about the "friends of friends" thing and how far your name can stretch and be found on SM because of those 2ndary friend layers. That's how a couple of my cyberstalkers tried to dig up more on me... and why I got the hell off of FB when it kept resetting my privacy settings after I'd tried to exclude that sort of thing years ago. Jess was deviously smart in not friending him herself, but eavesdropping (so to speak) on those 2ndary accounts to find pics and info. Bet some friend photos from those accounts (which OP might've forgotten all about) became the basis for doctored photos. One of my own cyberstalkers had saved some photos taken of me and put on FB by friends of mine that I'd forgotten about, or my college contacts that I was loosely connected to through clubs on campus, and I had no idea where those photos had come from at first (dumbass saved them on the work server, which helped build a harassment case, and how I found out about them in the first place)

Once she blew up her marriage, it was a cinch to move to OP’s new city. After all, she can work her digital graphics business from anywhere. Next drill down to OP’s neighborhood, spouse, etc. and lastly, lay the trap. Did you know that when marketing a group in FB, you can laser focus your search for members right down to neighborhood level. Same on Meetup and other medias. And that’s why at least one other woman in OP’s neighborhood is miraculously in that same art group. OP’s radar was spot on. But his wife is immature, insecure, and desperate for friendships, so much so that she insisted on building one with the one person her husband didn’t want in his life…our is allllllllll the possibilities in the whole city. The icing on the ex’s cake was to groom OP and wife to get used to and accept her presence in the lives and home. That way, once she casually tossed her photoshopped bomb into their marriage, the wife was already invested in what surely must be a genuine friendship since her husband was now allowing her into their home to hang out drinking wine too. The only way for this marriage to be saved is if some third party to secretly gets psycho to reveal the truth on audio or video. Or find the raw photoshop files.

Hell with the advent of AI its extremely easy to create revenge porn. As someone who works in graphic design and photography we're starting to see the use of AI art and AI systems to create images with less tells that they are fake. We still can but with how widely available these tools are thats something OP should really bring up.

The ex is showing similar behaviors to when she was with OP yet claims to have changed. She's already caused issues with how she's acted while drunk. Wife "randomly" got invited to this group seemingly out of nowhere. It was the ex's friend who just so happened to bring up the subject of the break up. I think it's less about her not being able to keep herself busy for a few hours, and more about the lack of social interaction she was experiencing. During those few hours, OP was getting to socialize with his friends, which just underlined for Olivia that she didn't have a friend group to fill that socialization need. Even introverts need some measure of friendly social interaction. It's just unfortunate that her very human need for friends was used to bait her into a trap.

Story 1 is the perfect example of us living in a post truth era. The tools necessary to create convincing fake evidence are becoming widely available and accessible to the general public. Pretty soon, the average person won’t be able to believe their eyes or ears when viewing video. When it comes to pictures, we are basically already there. OP’s been put in a very difficult position, sadly all I could really advice is to keep looking for evidence that contradicts the photos and maybe look into hiring someone with the right expertise to examine them thoroughly. Though I don’t know how and where he can find such a person. Such services are not really available to the general public to my knowledge.

What I don't undedstand (story 1) is OP says the photos show him with tattoos he didn't have at the time. Olivia and he were together. Doesn't she know he didn't have those tattoos? So I have two thoughts: Jess knew he was back in town and stalked him, therefore the photos are of him. Or (more likely) she photoshopped them. She didn't know he didn't have the tattoos, so added them. Yet he didn't mention that he brought up that fact to his wife. This is just so weird. I am 100% certain Jess will later "confess" that there was that one night when they got drunk and misbehaved. I don't think Olivia is horrible for not believing him. She does have photos. OP says they're very good photos. She may have some self esteem issues that make her doubt herself and her relationships. And who knows? Maybe Jess is hissing in her ear on the phone all this time. Wife should at least give OP the benefit of the doubt and say, "I will take these photos to an expert" or something. Heck, I've made avatars where I wanted a different hair color and sometimes even face and switched things out. Not hard to make them look good. I can imagine how easy it must be for a pro to do it. (That sounds awful. It was for gaming where you want to portray a certain type of character for forum chats, etc.)

RE: Story 1 I can't blame Olivia for being confused by the photos despite the existence of photoshop. To photoshop you into things, Jess would have to have some pictures of you. I think you should sit down with your wife and say that you want HER to hire a detective to prove that it's not you. I think a private detective would have the skills to do so. And if you leave the choice of detective up to your wife so that she is the client, she should be able to trust whomever she selects so long as it is not someone recommended by the painting group (who could be on Jess's side.) I think this is the best way to save your marriage. I do think you need to say to Olivia that once you are vindicated, she needs to cut Jess out of your lives because this is not a funny joke.
