The last story had me cracking up. Something much like it happened to my husband and me. We were in the market for a new car and I’m a researcher by profession so naturally I did all the research. I had to take a day off of work for a doctor appointment and decided to see if I could wrap up the car search the same day. I came across the exact new car we wanted advertised at an insanely low price and hit print knowing it had to be a mistake but I wanted proof it had been listed at that price. Then I called the dealership, told them I wanted the vehicle, and made an appointment for that evening. I called my hubby and told him we were off to buy a new car the moment he got home. He got home and off we went. I’m in jeans, t-shirt, and my grubby garden shoes, he is in full dark suit and red power tie, wearing black sunglasses. We arrive and are ushered into an office with only one client chair so my husband indicates I should sit and he stands behind me. For some reason he hasn’t spoken a word yet. The salesman begins his pitch and I whip out the ad I’d printed off. He swallows hard and double times his patter. Finally, I raise my hand and say “You honor the deal or not. Your choice. All I want to hear is yes or no, anything else and I walk.” The salesman looks up at my husband and says “Can we talk?” My suited and still wearing sunglasses husband calmly and quietly replies “I’m just security.” The salesman blanched and we got the deal. I’ve always wondered how fast they Googled my name after we left trying to figure out who I was to have security. No one special, just a gal with a husband with a weird sense of humor!

😂😂 love it! I walked out of a used car deal with my baby in a car seat because the salesman wouldn't remove a 3k "free oil changes and maintenance" package. My husband came to get me and through clenched teeth the salesman said "congratulations on your new car." I responded "congratulations on making a sale today." What a butthead.

My late husband and I would be a team when we went car shopping. It wasn't good cop/bad cop though... It was good cop/asshole cop! I, very capably, fulfilled the "asshole cop" role! We both accepted that he was just too nice and agreeable, so I acted as a counterbalance! The plus for my husband was that he got a lot of sympathetic looks from the salesman! Got some good deals doing that and had some laughs on the way home! LOL

I had to comment on story 4. My mom never would go through all of that. She and my dad went to a dealership to pay cash for her new car. She put up with the salesman speaking only to my father for less than a minute. She told him that this was to be her car, it was a cash deal, and he better start talking to her or they were walking. She also told him she wasn’t playing car dealership games. She said he had one chance, one lowest price offer, if she didn’t like it they would walk. They walked, as the salesman and sales manager stumbled all over themselves following them out the door trying for a second shot. You do not mess with my mom. They bought the same car at a different dealership at the price she was willing to pay. Then proceeded to schedule all the free covered maintenance at the dealership she had walked out on. She had to make sure they knew they had screwed up. My dad and she had been customers for decades. She taught them well.

A few years ago I found a car that was just what I was looking and around the right price the only thing wasn't keen on was the colour (silver, just personal preference) but the salesman just ignored me completely and only spoke to my dad and husband even though they both said I was the one getting the car. He even kept trying to show them other cars more suited to them. The final straw was when my husband said jokingly that the only thing holding me back was the colour the salesman turned round and said "it's not silver it's ice blue" 🙄 it's listed as silver on the website, I just left at this point. I ended up getting the same type of car from a garage down the road.

Hey broken. I did something I shouldn't have today regarding my mental health. I got into an internet exchange about International Womans Day with some Alt right dude bruh. (i assume). It was on one of my fav. rappers community page. he put up a cool meme about every otherday most rappers call women B's and Ho's. But on IWD they all are fake woke about feminism. Some of the commenters took it as trash women day. So i called a couple out. Never have I discussed such mature topics with completely ignorant people. I'm sorry i did it. Politics is the one thing I said I wasn't going to comment on anymore. Sorry i didn't take care of myself today. I don't want to disappoint, I'll do better at taking care of myself tomorrow. I did the same thing as the Title Story to my ex! I moved out at 18 and my ex demanded to move with me since he couldn't trust me to live alone. Aside from his clothes and computer literally everything in the house was mine; pots/pans, dishes, utensils, spices, cleaning supplies, furniture, etc. I broke up with him and he refused to believe it, I waited until he was at work one day and moved everything out before he got home. I moved across the city and laughed the whole way there on the final run! (sadly he stalked me for 6 years post breakup so moving and a restraining order didn't get rid of him right away)

My only story of malicious compliance isn't even mine. It was just something I witnessed at my old daycare job. I worked at a summer daycare that advertised being "character building" and educational. That translated to summer schooling, class work sheets, and morality lessons. There were no grades or anything, it was more like busy work that pissed off the kids and somehow made the parents happy. My boss explained one of the papers to the kids and my coworkers and I would baby sit to make sure they don't goof off. Boss explained "cut out the numbers and glue them in the correct spot on the papers." They needed to cut out numbered phrases and clue them to the corresponding "kind" or "unkind" things to say. I was watching the older kids. One of them heard my boss and decided to only cut out the numbers and not the phrases. My boss was mad when they got that paper and ask me why I didn't correct it. I told them that the kid followed their directions to the letter. Boss hated that kid because they always pulled that shit. I loved them because they were making fun out of a boring and shitting situation

I did that to my roommates once. I had a baby, and they would get into physical screaming fights quite often, at all hours. Their cats would piss all over my stuff (i closed my door, but they never did when they snooped my room). If i dared to leave a full plate of food or can of soda on the kitchen table for two minutes to change a diaper or calm a scrappy napper, it was tossed out the moment i was out of sight -- "You can't just leave a mess! You have to take your drink with you, the table isn't meant for drinks to just sit there! You should've eaten it all before you got up!" -- and if i dared to leave any property of mine it was literally thrown into my bedroom (laptop, phone, even my breast pump, my property was NOT allowed in the common areas.) The last straw was when i was looking for a dog. They had two dogs and two cats. I had lost my medical service dog to cancer before i moved in, and it was very well known and agreed upon that i needed to get a new dog and train it. When i finally went to a shelter with one roommate, the nice one, to pick out dogs, i found the perfect girl who adored my daughter and was great with other dogs. The bad roommate called, asking where the F we were, and then screeched through the phone that i was NOT allowed to get another dog because SHE said so. The thing is, while I was paying half the rent, utilities and internet, did all the cleaning, they also MADE ME use my food stamps (one adult and one infant) for three adults and and an infant. They used it for food I'm allergic to. Not only that, they made me cook EVERY MEAL. Including what I'm allergic to, so that was always fun. (Yes, im a pushover.) But with that came the common sense that all the food was my property. So when i moved out, I. TOOK. ALL. OF. IT. I poured put the drinks, packed up the snacks, boxed up the boxes, tossed out the meats and LEFT. They texted my mother threatening to call CPS on me, claiming I refused to feed my child, that i left her in the crib 24/7 and ignored her screams (we co-sleep so...no). Saying they'd claim i beat my infant. That was all well and good... but i knew where they kept their ounce of weed, and I had some connections. After the first little anonymous tip, they never contacted us again.

Me and my roommate are actually closer than sisters. I've heard the horror stories about cars sales men and how they only talk to the men who come in. We are actually going to be looking for a car to share because we trust each other that much. I tend to dress a bit more masculine and tomboyish so if they mistake me for a man I will smile as prettily as possible and point it out to my best friend and tell them "She is the one getting the car. Talk to her not me." That might be a bit funny because while I dress like a tomboy I have a naturally high and according to my friends sweet voice! I can't wait till this happens!!!!

I used to work for Kroger and found out they hired a male coworker at significantly higher rate than me with no job experience. So I asked for a raise and they had constantly told me that it was against company policy to talk about our wages.. I found out much later that having that kind of policy is breaking federal labor laws in the US. I quit 2 weeks later for a much higher paying job and they tried to say that they would lie about which shift I worked to try and pay me more but I turned them down.

The car one reminds me of the time I bought a new car. The guy started out by asking where my husband was and if he knew what I was doing because he, the car salesman, wouldn’t let his wife car shop without him. I literally snorted at him and said my husband knows I’m an adult and capable of buying a car by myself. We got along after that. When we went back to pick up my car, the guy who had driven it around went to had my husband the keys, and I watched the salesman grab him and point to me instead saying it's her car not his.

Story 4. I had an older car, about 14 years old in fact. I went to trade it in in one of those push-pull-drag deals; it was in bad shape and would be expensive to fix up for resale. The car salesman I chose was someone I knew from church. Should have been trustworthy, right? Oh no, he was as sleazy as they came. I paid $3,000 including the trade-in. A month or so after, took the new car up into the mountains one weekend to go camping. Stopped off at the first town on the way back to get something to eat. Discovered my car was worth a whole lot less than I bought it for. Required well over $1000 of repairs to get the car working again. I really should have laid into Darryl, but it was my fault for not getting it inspected by someone else prior to purchase. Thankfully after get it fixed, it ran well for the next 10 years. Traded it in for a 3 year old Buick Park Avenue with leather seating, plus all of the bells and whistles. The salesguy in this case was a friend's husband who was very reliable, very honest. I was only the 2nd owner, found the original sales receipt in the glove box. The original owners paid over $22,000. Got it for cheap ($3300) because it had been dinged during a bad hailstorm (just prior to a tornado hitting the area.). I didn't care about the dings and dents; I was in 7th heaven having such a great car,

As my 20 year marriage was ending, my ex blamed me for everything wrong with our relationship. The one area he couldn’t touch was my cooking. I’m a good cook and baker and put a good meal on the table every night. My ex, 6’4”, would eat half of everything I made (half a roast chicken, half a roast beef, etc.) and our three kids and I would eat the rest. He actually had the gall to say that a good meal “wasn’t important to him”. Fine. When our kids and I moved out, I GUTTED the kitchen. He was left with an old coffee pot, old ugly stoneware dishes and one frying pan.

The exact same thing happened to my husband and I a year and a half ago when we bought a car. When we walked in, he shook our hands and looked up to my husband, he's 6'4", I'm 5'11", the salesman was around 6'. But I was the one who told him which car we wanted to test drive. If it wasn't such a good deal, and exactly what we wanted, we would've left. When we came back from our test drive, he came out to greet us (COVID so we got to drive it alone), he asked my husband if we liked it and hubby just looked at me. From that moment on, I was the one that made the entire deal, even the aftermarket warranty, it was a car that was a few years old. The salesman wasn't trying to be sexist, he's actually nice, but I've never had someone treat me like that before, maybe because I'm tall, but usually I don't feel like I don't matter, and that was my first experience. It's great that was the first time I'd ever experienced something like that, but it was so weird. I couldn't believe that was happening. I mean, we don't live in the deep south, we live on the west coast. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is an older vid but I figured Id share my own petty roomate story. I moved in with friends (bad idea #1) and we had a major falling out. One day as I was out she threw all of my 'belongings' from the living room and shared space into my bedroom. A lit of which were fragile things that were broken when they got tossed in, like game consoles. So I ended up leaving just because anyone would after that. We couldnt take everything with us that night but our chiller roomate let us know when she would be gone so I could pick up the rest of my things without conflict. (Wed been having shouting matches) Well, before we lived together I had been the one to move in first and actually renovate the place as a deal with the owner. I spent a few months with the owners daughter, our friend, cleaning it up and renovating everything from floors to the bath tub itself. It was a lot of work. And she...didnt help at all. So when she moved in I had furnished the place, bought all the kitchen supplies, a couch, lamps, the whole deal. I had made it a home. Not amazing but it was livable. Well that day I took EVERYTHING i put into that house that I payed for. She sent me a text furious because she didnt even have dishes or cleaning supplies. Not even a trash can. The whole situation sucked but it felt like at least I didnt lose EVERYTHING. I had at least a bit of my home with me.

Unfortunately story 4 still happens in many cases, whether you build a house, buy a car, open a joint bank account, often the woman is ignored or the forms and information are given to the man, even when both sign. But guess who gets the reminder letters from the pediatrician or the kindergarten? Those are often addressed to the female, even if they have both people down. Hell, I've heard so many stories by now when the father is taken down as the first emergency contact because of more flexibility at work, etc. and they still call the mother instead only for her to tell them to call the father, like they should have in the first place.

Sadly due to his *very sticky fingers* he lost everything, I think he already had 20 years in, which made him eligible for a decent pension. He lost his freedom He lost his retirement Not sure if his wife divorced him or not. From what I came to understand was he was outfitting a future after retirement shop. Thieves especially that type get caught. BTW Did you know that at one time Chevrolet Corvettes were listed in the Federal Government's Supply System? I wonder what justification would have been accepted for anyone to actually order one? Maybe a diplomatic gift to the ruler of some country as an incentive to be pro-American?

My first 2 years of college before I got shipped out to the Airfoce academy I lived In a 3 bedroom with 2 girls, I had a decent job making 40k a year at a factory while they worked at big lots. We had 2 bathrooms mine was mine alone since I had the master bedroom. Deal was we all bought our own stuff like toiletries food and such and paid 1/3 of utilities I paid slightly more rent since my room was the biggest. Well they took issue with the fact I made double what they made and started taking my stuff. The breaking point came when they would just waltz I to my room to use my bathroom. I sat them down and tried to talk to them but they just double down that "you make more money" and "you are a man you are supposed to take care of defenseless girls" note I was not in a relationship with either I didn't even like them. Since the lease was month to month the same day I went out to look for an apartment gave my notice 2 weeks later I packed all my stuff. The thing is everything in the kitchen and common areas was mine I cleaned out the place there was nothing left outside their rooms even the car they were driving they were borrowing it from me. With dealership thing when I bought my boat I went with fiancee and I was the one ignored lol.

When I first started working for a national retail department store “chain” we were paid time & a half for Sundays. If a holiday happened to fall on Sunday pay was essentially double time & a half. AND we got an extra day off with pay. Then corporate decided Sunday was just another day. The company started to go down hill after this. It slowly stopped being “employees are family” & began to solely focus on profit above all & political correctness

Years ago we were looking at cars. It was going to be the one I would primarily drive. I would ask a question, the salesman answered my husband. I “tested” him a few times because I didn’t think someone could be that dumb. It was pretty amusing, to be honest. What can I say? I have an odd sense of humor. My husband mentioned that air conditioning was a must, (this was years ago when not all cars came with air conditioning.) for the first time salesman looked at me & said, “This has factory air.” In my best I don’t have a clue voice I replied, “But I don’t waaannt factory air! I want fresh!!” Looked at him wide eyed. He finally clued in, grinned & spoke to both of us after that. To all people in sales, no matter if it’s retail, cars, houses, windows etc.... always always always speak to each person as if they matter & have something important to contribute. It doesn’t matter if they’re obviously mentally challenged/disabled, are in a wheelchair, old, young, flamboyant,!staid, dressed down, dressed up, in full cover up robes... all people matter! Even if all you do is smile & say hi because whatever being purchased has nothing to do with them. Treat them as if they mean something. It’s the right thing to do. And you never know.

Ha, this reminds me of when I had a job managing a horse boarding stable. Sorry this is so long--TLDR at the bottom. A developer, "Bob", bought this stable, solely to develop--even though others had tried and failed to get the permits; turned out he was kind of slimy and arrogant and figured he knew the right palms to grease or something. Meanwhile, he allowed the stable to keep operating. The lady he purchased it from, "Ellen", had worked with me before and recommended me to manage it. The property was in a funky tucked-away location at the end of a road next to a huge open space park. While Ellen was showing me the ropes, she warned that no company offered internet access to that address except Sprint, and even Sprint no longer covered the area, the stable was just grandfathered in from years earlier. So if the account was ever canceled, it could not be reinstated--that would be the end of internet access. So we transferred the account from her name to mine, and that was fine, I paid the bill every month out of the stable's accounts, etc. Bob knew absolutely nothing about horses or boarding facilities and really didn't care what I did as long as the place at least broke even. So I did a bunch of stuff to upgrade the place, bring in higher-paying clientele, get us into legal compliance with the city, etc. Fast forward a year and a half later, Bob met some woman at a cocktail party ("Angie") who persuaded him she could do a better job than me, and he was a moron so he forced me out and hired her instead. He was SUCH a scumbag--for example while kicking me out of my job, offered me as an alternative that I could replace the manager of an eldercare facility that he owned (something I had ZERO qualifications for) because he needed "someone white"--the manager was black, the residents were a bunch of old racist white geezers who didn't like that. And Bob was a person of color himself!!! Just a complete POS. So Angie waltzed in while I was still there, very condescending and bitchy. It quickly became obvious that she had no intention of even trying to do a good job, as she had no interest in the information I tried to pass on to her. Anyway, I was bitter, especially because I had very little notice and it was a live-in position, so I had to scramble to not only find a new job but a new place to live. However, I was gracious because I'm a doormat. Anyway, I warned Angie about the Sprint account, and I left the transfer form with my signature, on the desk, by itself so it was un-missable. Fast forward a month, I'm living in a new location with a new part-time job (still looking for a real job) and the Sprint bill, still in my name, is forwarded to my new address; Angie never filed the transfer paperwork. I called, left messages, emailed repeatedly so it was in writing, warning her again and again that it must be transferred (and never canceled), I wanted it out of my name for fear I'd be responsible for paying it, etc. etc. (still way overly gracious like an idiot). She never responded or filed the paperwork, so after a couple months of this, I called Sprint and canceled the account. Fast forward a few days, I tried sending another email just for fun and it bounced back. LOL. Fast forward about a month, I heard from boarders who'd stayed in touch with me that the incredibly hardworking, responsible, smart, loyal ranch hand who I'd hired after months of going through shitty ones, left. Because he wasn't getting paid. Fast forward about another month and I started hearing that the new manager was doing nothing--not even buying hay (!) and the boarders were all fleeing. Apparently she was just pocketing their monthly payments. Fast forward a couple more months and I heard the place went under. Fast forward 18 years, the stable has now been abandoned for years, all overgrown. The developer never got approval to develop. And I have my own business--it's modest, but I can pay my bills, I enjoy the work, and I'm not at the mercy of any jerk boss. TLDR: My jerk boss forced me out of a job I was doing well and honestly, but which he didn't understand, in favor of a scammer who cleaned out the business financially and destroyed it. His plans to develop the property that the business operated on also went nowhere. So even though I didn't even try to get revenge on him, my jerk boss now owns a worthless couple acres that he paid several million dollars for.

Years ago my little brother and I were both looking to buy cars. We went to Honda where the dealer only looked at and spoke to my brother (who did not want a Honda anyway) even though I was the one asking questions. Even worse would be me asking about horsepower and the salesman stating how many cup holders were available instead 🙄. Is number of cup holders really that important? I usually only ever need one! Next was Ford who ignored us because we looked too young (late 20s). Smart Cars were interesting but it was an additional year wait until the vehicles would have been manufactured. From there he went to Kia and I went to Nissan. The Kia dealership tried to bait and switch my brother’s preferred car or to charge him an additional $8000 to have it shipped to the store despite previous assurances it was on the lot. My brother was heartbroken, dejected, frustrated, and deserving of far better. Nissan was a whole different experience. I told the dealer what my brother and I wanted, what budget we were considering, what amenities were required vs desirable, and asked what he had in mind. I am female but the dealer recognized I had done my homework and treated me as an equal. He showed me two cars: the type I wanted and the type my brother preferred. I had prices negotiated for both vehicles before my little brother left Kia to meet me at Nissan (thank God and anyone else who may have been watching over us that day for the negotiation lessons previously received from my first boss). That day the Nissan dealer sold two vehicles, got a bonus, and got two additional sales to my family in the two subsequent years. The other dealerships simply got highly detailed reviews of their employees and establishments comparing and contrasting experiences at each dealership site. My next car will also be a Nissan! 😀

When i left my ex- it was because he cheated and the younger/faster model was more important than me or the kids. I had paid for the bedroom set so i took it- we also had a really nice Broyhill pullout couch so he had that. As i packed the last in the truck (dad flew in to drive the uhaul back home)- he got offended that I only left him one pillow. He asked for a second pillow. That was when i flipped out. (SHE can buy her own fucking pillow!!) 🤣🤣🤣😁

LMAO The last one reminded me of when I was getting my 2nd car. I had 2 shipmates (husband and wife). She knew more about cars and had better negotiating skills than I did. The husband agreed to let his wife pretend to be my wife so I could use her to help me get a good deal on the car. Instead of coaching me through everything I needed to know, we agreed that she would be a bitch and interrupt the deal whenever I was about to make a mistake or fall into a trap. The salesman tried the typical "talk only to the man" stunt. After the third interruption, she told him he was going to deal with her instead of me. I said "thanks babe" lol. Got the car for $2000 less than MSRP.

i worked my first job over the previous summer (summer of 2020). i worked part time with a guy whos a year younger than me (he was 16). our boss at the time of me applying was supposed to be my mom, but she quit and left before we started, so my boss became my moms bosses. i knew my mom didnt like one of the bosses, and hadnt interacted much with the other one. the bad one walked all over my mom, but i thought it would be different with me since shes known me from childhood and always seemed to like me. nope. she fuckin sucked. we’re two teenagers who’ve never worked a job like this before. she gives us one 4 hour day of training, then takes off 5 hours down the highway to her family farm where she barely ever has internet and cell service. she told me if i ever couldnt get ahold of her to go to good boss. the other boss was pretty good, would get back to me within a few minutes if i had questions for her. so shitty boss only has our first week scheduled out. our last scheduled shift is a sunday, i try to get ahold of shitty boss to get our next weeks schedule set on friday. i have a lot of medical issues and thus have a lot of a appointments that id need to schedule around working. by saturday afternoon, i still havent heard from shitty boss, so i get ahold of good boss, who doesnt have the log in info for our scheduling app and also cant get ahold of shitty boss. she tells me to just make a schedule myself for me and my coworker for the next week, and to text her when we clocked in and out instead of using the app until they could get it updated. monday morning rolls around, and i get a call from shitty boss. she says she has notifications of someone trying to unsuccessfully log in to the scheduling app. i informed her of what i had talked about with good boss. she got mad at me, told me not to do things like that without permission, etc. i told her “sorry, i had good boss’s permission, and you hadnt put out anything for us yet scheduling wise.” she freaked out and told me that by law she only had to give us 24 hours notice before a shift. i checked this out later via some government websites, and its true stuff. the next month goes by mostly okay, until the last two weeks we’re supposed to work. sunday is our last scheduled shift, and theres nothing put on our app for the following week. i go to bed sunday night after working 2pm-7pm. i check my phone at 11 pm. there has been no schedule posted on our app. i go to bed, and wake up at 10:30 am. i have breakfast with my parents and enjoy what i thought was going to be a good day off. at 10:45 am i get the email notification that our boss has updated our schedule, and given me a shift at 11am that day. you know, in fifteen fucking minutes. the first thing i do is text my coworker and tell him he doesnt have to go in today because our shift was scheduled illegally. after that, i text shitty boss. i tell her that i wont be going in that day, as she had broken the law by not giving us 24 hours notice for our shifts. she texts back some bullshit about having set the schedule with more than 24 hours notice, which i know is false because i had checked the previous night and did not have any scheduled hours. i got out of almost our entire last week of work because she kept making this same mistake. fuck bosses who do shit like that to their employees. we’re people too.

My wife is a lawyer and she is hell too make deals with. She will do all of her homework before we go to the dealership for a car. I buy 3 trucks every year and I get a good warranty on them. I normally pay $1000 over cost to the dealership. We don’t order them we see what they have and she has already figured out what they paid for them and she adds it up and we pay for them . The salesman gets paid and the last two years we have used the same guy . It’s that time now so she is doing the homework for me now while she is on bed rest for a broken ankle but our youngest daughter and she could use a new car each of them so I told her that my daughter is looking and I want to do them all at the same time so they give me the bast deal have 6 trucks picked out and two cars for each model of car. She loves the two she has picked out for herself but she thinks our daughter is going to buy one of the 4 so she can get a little surprise when I bring them home. All of the trucks are the same just different colors and the cars are the same colors too . 3;45 appointment with the salesman and I gave him the list with the stock numbers and let him know that one is for a gift to the wife. Yes it’s a lot of money but they are business expenses and the business pays for them including my wife’s car. Daughter will be paying me for her car and I will sell her old car from my business. People who work for us or people we know normally buy the old trucks from us. They are pretty much new and well maintained.
