My experience of owning a Renault Laguna Coupe and why I would not buy this car again!

It looks to me.. your front tires need some air. It might fix the harshness of the suspension.

It actually makes the ride softer if there is less air in the tire, but it makes the handling way worse and increases the consumption. Also what I found out with my Laguna Coupe is, that if there is more air in the tire the vibrations and rattling noises reduce. That is because than the car is better connected with the ground. Otherwise with soft tires the chassis is more free to move as it is isolated from the ground. @ViveLaCoupe So definitely pump air in your tires, it makes a huuuge difference!

That‘s right i put in some pressure before recording the driving part, still way to harsh for me but that‘s only an personal issue, some people might like it but i prefer stock suspension👍

Leather tearing on the seats was fixed in the facelift version in 2012, it has a fabric around the plastic edges, so the leather doesn't rub against it. Visibility doesn't bother me at all, car has tall windows and you sit more on top of it, it's not difficult to see out of it. I also put on a sun strip, which helps against the low sun and it improves the car looks. Rear visibility is good enough to see the traffic and blind spots, but front and rear parking sensors are a must-have. It's a long car, but with sensors and 4 control I have no issues parking it. Car looks so much better lowered and widened, I'm willing to put up with harsher ride.

The main problem is the b pillar for me, which reduces visibility a lot. And yes the car looks better when it‘s lowered but for my personal driving style it bothers me a lot. Especially on bad roads the vibrations get unbearable as i said this is not a sports car you know that‘s why i don‘t like it. Thanks for your opinion appreciate it a lot🤙

I love this Laguna and I love the fact that Renault had the courage to launch this car at a time when the Germans had the coupe market to themselves. It's a pity your particular Laguna has the particular issues that it has, but unfortunately if a car has had the Fast & Furious treatment, it's probably been treated like a race car and has had its fair share of abuse. But it's still a great car, and as you said, it's underrated.

Good review! I drive a Laguna 3 liftback (actually is not a hatchback as they say) for two years and I made some improvements like entire sound deadening material from Stp and made a lot, also applied some mandeline antisqeak tape for the center console, air vents left right and center, wrapped in Alcantara the center console, doors, changed the radio with a Pioneer Sph 10bt and also changed the stock Cabasse speakers with Bose ones from a Lancia (those made in US and Mexico not the ones made in China for the Renault). I will make a video about it, but after changing the wheels with Sparco Pista ones 🎉 Keep up the good work with your reviews because they are informative!

I don't know if I can share it here or if my comment will get blocked by KZbin. 4:38 I don't mind this at all. This is why you have the parking sensors. Also start find a coupe with good visibility... good luck lol 5:11 My first Laguna Coupe was also lowered and the one I have now is not. Although it looks nice it kills the ride quality. I prefer it also stock.

On estate laguna 3 it is possible atleast partially reduce dashboard rattles by puting rubber pipe between front glass and dashboard.

Nice video as always bro, very informative, i noticed that the front tires lack some air, especially the left one, i think you should check it out, also this may affect suspension, how much air do you put in your tires? Because it's very effective. I've had the same problem with Mégane 3, after checking the tires it got better, it used to really annoy me. I think this will fix the problem. Actually if you check the side of door ( for me, driver's door ) you'll find a sticker that tells how much air you should put in your tires, hope this fix this issue bro. And yes! We'd love to see a consumption video. For the Renault " bad " reputation thing, it's just German propaganda, it's funny how all Mercedes cars ( A class ) use Renault engines, as well as opel ( they use Peugeot engine and parts ), in the other hand we have Nissan Qashqai etc...

Thank you for the great comment brother, i absolutely agree. I checked the pressure before filming the driving part and indeed it Lacked a bit the part where i drive over the speed bump was already after putting pressure into the tyre. I mostly drive 2.6-2.7 front and 2.2-2.3 rear🤙

I cannot cope with your negative comments except for the sport suspension. Noises in the dashboard, many cars suffer from this, and it can be easily solved by spraying silicone everywhere in the gaps. Im very sensitive to noises, my 2008 3.0dCi GT I just bought is silent, and i'm shocked by the low consumption! How is this possible ? A 3L V6 with automatic, at 90kmh some 4-5L/100km at a flat road is insanely good to me !

I love my renault fluence, just makes me mad that the 1.6 petrol has like 100-110hp feels slow sometimes but as a car its best for beginners like me, had to change only brakepads, thats all of the maintenance that my father did (not including oil change and filters its a must have)

@ well electronic handbrake is available of course but there‘s no auto hold function in a classic sense. If you press the brake button and accelerate it will resolve automatically but it isn‘t a classic autohold because you would need to press it every time your car stands still

You should fix tire pressure, fix suspenson(it's broken), buy proper tires, get FL seats(fixed leather problem) etc. Your car just need some love and thats it. If you still got any problems, buy 2012-2015 FL version of car then.
