Heading to ATP-CTP soon. Instructed for a few hundred hours but I've been at a 135 for the last 700 hours of my total time. Really glad I got the "airline" experience before heading out to the training.

This is the first time I’ve seen a recap of any ATP/CTP course with this much detail. I really appreciate it since I’ll be attending one soon.

Clear and concise - covered ALL the requirements. I retired as a B767 Captain 24 years ago. There was no requirement for this course prior to taking the ATP written then. Everything you covered I learned AFTER I got my ATP. I think this prerequisite requirement is great.

Great video Nathan! Glad you enjoyed the program. Recently retired Delta captain here. The training department is top notch!

Good Video Captain. Delta is my dream job. Currently, I have 1,000TT and the more hours I build the farther I see myself working for Delta 😢

I appreciate you watching, and keep building those hours! Delta is a great air line. Turbine and multiengine hours are really important to get to the hiring level there, so get all of that time that you can. Good luck!

Not sure how your channel came up but great job in describing your experience at Delta. Was unclear why you were going through this course or that even Delta offered it but good narrative. I subscribed....retired airline.

Thanks so much for watching, and you will probably appreciate this... The instructors in the class were all retired pilots, and the stories they told were invaluable. I am sure you have many to tell as well! Thanks for subscribing as well.

How’d you manage to land in that class? I thought Delta’s CTP course was only for their military hires without an ATP?

It is open to everyone, as far as I know. I didn’t see or encounter any restrictions. I just went on the website and registered.

@NathanBallardSaferFlying7 ай бұрын
I tried doing some research on YT, but there wasn't a lot out there. The folks at Delta/DPS were great in just making sure you know what to expect. As far as other prep, being instrument proficient will help during the sim sessions.

GA q... why does ATC insist making ga ac do 360° circles in pattern trying to land bc of busy traffic w mixed in corp jets .. ofcourse favoring the richazzzjets get all priority to land first. this is Class D .. Does FAA ATC towers do this everywhere now ? or just my area Boston? ithink ctrlrs just be bad and lazy cant separate traffic very good plain lazy and incompetent. Doing 360° turns circles at 1000'agl is very risky dangerous bad bad.. too much going on.. lot of student pilots or ga practicing touchandgos going on. Most stupid unsafe thing ATC could do doing this now alot I hear it 5-10x perday.. some same ac they tell do it 2x in row b4 can land. outofcobtrol .Accident deadly fatal A waiting to happen ATC could easily say extend dw or do S turns or tell jets slow up.. or tell ga ac stay outside classD area will call you and ga can circle at safe 2000'+ away in unbusy sky.. not inside the pattern. ! omg smfh You ever see run onto this any airports ?
