Hey guys! For some reason, youtube keeps removing the comments on my videos! I see this is probably with other firearm channels across the board! Hopefully, I've got it fixed now! Thanks for watching!

I have bought three Carcanos from them rolling the dice knowing that I was buying a vintage hard used rifle. I was pleased by all three, and knew that I was going to have to break them down all the way. I thought at first I would refinish the furniture like new, but after seeing the history and kill marks on some, I just cleaned them and left them be. Fired one flawlessly. Other two look the same. Just bought a refurbished, excellent, MAS 49/56 and should get it Tomorow. Rolling the dice again, so hopefully the bore is not shot. If it is, I will do what I can or find another one. I am gambling and learning. Thanks for your video.

I've bought a few things from them, both from actual euro surplus, and some of the ethiopia cache. Swiss K11 was great. Carcano carbine from Italy, was great, only broken extractor. Two carcanos from Ethiopian stocks- 1st model TS, broken stock, but mint bore. 1891 long rifle 1895 date is half shotout, but still decent enough for my use. the WWI era long rifle and 2nd model TS were completely shot. I mean, drop a bullet halfway down barrel shot, and hear it rattle. Steyr 88/90 have been nice shooters, but took 3 tries to get good m95 Steyr, because wrong rifles kept getting sent. My Vetterlis have only needed firing pin springs, and one had wrong bolt, which was swapped out promptly. Most recent, was a clearing sale Enfield, which is actually one of my best shooters. YMMV

These guns were literally run hard and put away wet, the biggest bonus for American rifles is .30 carbine ammunition has always been non corrosive and all 30/06 ammo frem the mid 30’s on has been the same. These guns were stored like cord wood in goat barns for 50-100 years so you can’t expect them to be in great condition. The dry climate in Ethiopia helped with corrosion but 3rd world troops and governments don’t maintain their weapons the same way the US does. So plan accordingly, deep cleaning , general maintenance and spring, small part, wear replacement should be expected. Their prices are exorbitant for the condition of most of the weapons sold. Some “deals” may be found if you wait for sales.

I just tried to order a rack grade thru CMP on June 7, 2024 and the website said they were in stock. Three days later, June 10, the website said sold out June 7, 2024. So now I am waiting to see what happens? I have tried to contact CMP, but no one has replied back.

Just wait. I tried to contact them about my service grade M1 for months. Ordered it the beginning of February and got it just a few weeks ago. The went out of stock shortly after my packet arrived. Once they get guns back in stock they will fill your order.

I had the exact same thing happen. The day I mailed my packet, the site said, "in stock," but the very next day, the site was revised to say, "out of stock" as of a day or two *prior* to when I mailed my packet in (yeah, a little weird). I called in/emailed and explained the scenario; they gave me the option to change my order or keep it the same and wait. I'm waiting myself, but just know that you may have the option to change your order to something that's currently in stock. You'll have to pay the difference if you choose a more expensive rifle, of course.

I only got an SMLE which ended up being in terrible condition and shot badly.

I would buy from RTI again, if not for the whiney, snivelling Customer Service Reps. They used to be a credible company, before hiring the clown posse.

Quick question what does a bore gage number mean? What does a 2 or 3 mean on that scale?
@homeFall16 ай бұрын
a brand new bore the reading should be 0 on the gauge. The higher the number the more erosion is present (the larger the diameter), generally the larger the numbers the less accuracy you can expect. Epically true of the muzzle wear in my experience .
@redslate4 ай бұрын
A muzzle of "1" is very good; "2" is good; "3" is serviceable. Anything higher is unserviceable. Throat reading is similar, except "5" or under is considered serviceable. Lower number is better; "+" is in-between, but higher than the base number.
