@@paulcharlwood702 Yes. I fled the SEC, and found an independent Anglo Catholic church, now closed. Scotland is a bit of a spiritual desert. There may be Evangelical churches and traditional Presbyterian ones, if you can adjust your theology to join them, but the Anglican witness is impaired here.

This is my first encounter with this channel and along with other posters am a Catholic and would say your religios beliefs, such as with your view on gay marriage, are fully aligned with those of the Catholic Church. I don’t know if you have heard of the Ordinariate which was set up to admit Anglican priests who wished to become priests within the Catholic Church. It has its own bishop, but the housing situation is similar to your position in that the accommodation belongs to the church and whatever role you were given could involve a change of accommodation, but you would always have a roof over your head. Not sure if this of any help, but might be worth investigating.

A couple of weeks ago I emailed a friend who is a worship leader and preacher at my home Church as I'm a lay reader too, to say that I would pray that the Lord would ensure that he would bring the people that He wanted to speak to, to the service. (I use the same prayer for the service I'm driving to. I was amazed and she referred to the Prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Two things happened. I thanked the Lord, then it struck me that I am not righteous. But that the Lord is my righteousness. Having been terribly betrayed, the only way I could get through it was by starting forgiving by an act of the will. Verbally forgiving yet feeling the opposite and declaring blessings over those who had betrayed me. SO HARD! But I did it because He tells us to. We pioneered a ministry a King's Kids ministry... My experience is that the Lord took care of our whole family, our children were protected, we found work, shelter...He guide, He provide.... But after 10 Years my husband died, he never fully raised from the trauma. That is 25 years ago, But your story reminds me booth of the Lords faithfulness, presens and specific care when the darkness overwhelm you. Rev Murphy. I live near Fort Worth, TX. I write this to show you how far reaching your ministry is. I watch because I am in support of your uncompromising stand for the Word of Truth. That is why I keep listening. Now you are suffering for that stand. I am currently not suffering for my faith in the same way but I put myself in your place and know how it would wear at the flesh to be put in your position. The Bible says to rejoice when we are persecuted. Probably the last thing our flesh wants to do. It also says to love our enemies and pray for those who spitefully use us. Another flesh killer. I think you are going to be in a better position away from the tentacles of this leadership who won’t be able to hold a house over your head as collateral damage. I believe God is going to provide a home for your family. It will be a better place. You will be so glad for it and know how the hand of the Lord gave it to you. I am also practical and can afford to share of my earthly funds which I will do on my next payday to help support you. A workman is worthy of his hire. Please know there are so many more like me who watch and may never comment or give financially but support in prayer. Keep fighting the good fight and running the race to finish your course. We raised a family through the private rental market for 28 years +. We’ve moved a number of times because the rental market is not stable at all. Every time we face strong difficulties that challenged my faith. On two occasions I thought we were going to be made homeless. The last house move was end of 2022 and it took 7 months for the Lord to provide and he did. It was the best house out of all of them and God even answered 99% of what I was praying for in detail. It was the only house we were accepted for because today you don’t get to chose, Landlords choose who gets their house. God prevented us from becoming homeless once again within a couple weeks of the deadline. I look back as a parting of the Red Sea in my life as Gods great provision. Take heart, God will never let his faithful beg for bread because God is faithful.

As you probably know, the Roman Catholic Church has the same things occurring. Many priests and some bishops have been removed from their positions for speaking out against the heresies and corruption in the Church. I'm sorry that the same thing is happening in the Free Church of England. I'm afraid that these kinds of things will continue or even increase in the future. So you're right, its not just C of E or free C of E, this kind of bullying is sadly found in so many churches. The Reformed church of New Zealand is looking for faithful, Biblical preachers. Slightly different but faithful to Biblical principles. Hi Brett This is a tough time to be sure. I worked in Christian school here on the north coast of NSW for 22 years. I watched a long series of staff go through similar things to what's happening to you. The narcissism of the 'boss' would leave none of us secure. I had a long time of serving and had a level of trust that I thought was high, until it wasn't, and I was thrown onto the end of the conga-line of victims from a ruthless leader. You can get through this, mate, you and your family. Take the offers of help and of posts in new churches. God gave me a lifeline. He will do the same for you. Some useful advice. I am a solicitor. Do not vacate your home at the end of the period of notice. If you do, the local authority will treat you as having intentionally made yourself homeless. So, you must remain in your home until your landlord obtains an order for possession against you in the County Court. If anyone tries to forcibly evict you, rather than obtaining a Court Order, call the Police. You are in lawful occupation and any attempt to forcibly evict you would be an offence. There are long delays in the Courts at the moment (broken Britain can work to your advantage sometimes). It might be many months before the case comes before the Court.

I think you've got a wonderful parish family there! One thing I do know is that the Holy Spirit is working through you. It's sad, perhaps, that the FCE is not your final place. You and your entire parish would certainly be welcome in the Catholic Church! We're a Bible believing Church and we need good and holy priests. Perfect match!
