Watching someone narrate their real-time calculation is extremely helpful! Thank you! It really helps me get into that practice, instead of the usual don't-think-just-take mindest.

You didn't become angry as in the previous game, even if your opponent played rushed. That is a big improvement.

Opponent castled kingside, the h-file wide open, you have a rook on h1 and pieces ready to jump towards his king, so you play on the queenside?! Maybe I have no understanding of chess...
@bosnbruce5837Ай бұрын
The entire time he tried playing on the queen's side for the sake of WHAT, although the h file is screaming for an attack. And then he abandons the h file with Rf1 just like that. This is the part where something should be said about tactics and strategy, but I don't know what.

Funny...I was yelling at the computer screen "Bh3! Bh3!" Of course, I miss stuff like that all the time.

It's like this person watched the last few videos and said, "i know how to rattle hpy! I'll play entirely on increment and point out moves he missed!"

suggestion #1 for decreasing emotional influence on playing: never resign. your ease with abandoning a game is more emotional than strategic. all human players blunder. your opponent may be about to give the game away, but a glum defeatist resignation prior to that moment limits these options. this happens in a tiny, minuscule number of games, but it happens, and this embodies the player’s dedication. careers have been made on these rare moments. i imagine every super-gm have benefited from these rarities.

i think hes referring to d4 games being much more of a positional grind than e4. its hard to say you are attacking when youre sitting passively for the first 20 moves trying to find a plan
