The entire Xmas Acoustic concert was exceptional. 14 songs in total and very creative in how they arranged the songs and performed it with the various combinations of the band members. Just amazed by how they were able to re-arrange songs that I would never have imagined could be performed acoustically. 7 Songs with all members 2 Songs with only Saiki and Kanami 2 Songs with Saiki, Kanami and Misa 2 Songs with Miku, Akane and Misa 1 Song with Saiki, Miku and Akane on the Cajon!

Thank you for doing three versions! What you don't realise is how much this Christmas concert meant to us in many ways. One (of many) was seeing Miku shine. Many fans have watched Miku from not ever holding a guitar to literally learning to play while in a recording and touring band. Something that would scare the shit out of me! This little Pigeon did it. This concert to me was the proof (not that it was needed) that she has become the star she dreamed of. To me Miku is an inspiration. Not just as a musician but as a wholesome caring human.

Miku is a mezzo soprano, meaning she can actually sing both lower and higher than Saiki, who is an alto. Miku centric songs are Time, Rock in Me, Big Dad, Sayanakidori, Summer Drive, Beauty and the Beast. She sings co-lead vocals on Knockin' on your Heart, Bye My Tears, Forward, and Price of Pride, Thrill, Don't Let Me Down, Alone, and much of their earlier work. There was another reactor who I can't remember who said that Miku was just a rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist. I had to point out that while she does sing backing vocals, she isn't just a backing vocalist. Kanami, Akane and MISA all contribute backing vocals at times. Miku is a Secondary Lead vocalist or Co-Lead Vocalist, while Saiki is the Primary Lead Vocalist. Much of the Band Maid sound is Miku either harmonizing with Saiki or singing a counter melody, plus her interjections, shouts, yells, growls, trills, whistles etc. And before someone posts they have never heard MISA do backing vocals, during one of their concerts in Dallas, they had problems with their backing tracks and they just put a mic on MISA's stand and she sang backing vocals. Two different redditors have said they were at that concert and saw/heard her sing. And MISA does contribute vocals to the backing track on a regular basis, along with Akane, Kanami and the Ladies crew/staff.

That little paradise pigeon is always good for a surprise, isn't she? :) I think Miku has reached an important milestone with the entire acoustic performance from which this version is taken. In fact, in all the songs she was involved in, at some point I thought to myself 'How good she's become'. And with her own two songs, 'Time' and 'Sayonakidori', she also absolutely backed this up vocally. I don't know why it is like that, but I am really happy, yeah almost proud of her, even though I actually don't really know her at all. _____________________ 【 _Pigeons will save the world._ 】- from *cluppo / Miku Kobato* 'Peace & Love' 🕊️

Dude. The best reaction video I've seen in a while. Fun. The full version is one of my favorite songs period. After Miku's rhythm solo, Akane, MISA, and Kanami go crazy. I like to shift the balance a little to the right so the lead punches through a bit better (drums and bass are in the center). Kanami really extended herself writing a song for Miku to sing. Miku asked her to make the ending special and Kanami made it really challenging for Miku to sing (telling her to "go for it"). Miku called her request for a special ending an "own goal" but she pulled if off, even live.

Miku usually gets one solo song on each album. This song from the album Unseen World, is a reference to Romeo and Juliet. The distorted spoken section is a direct quote from Shakespear's play as is the title in English- Nightingale. Kanami and Miku played the harmonised chord sequence together on the studio version. The sheet music is available in the score book

Before she founded Band Maid, she worked multiple jobs to pay for her vocal lessons. Her plan was to be the main singer but her voice is too soft so they tricked Saiki into joining them. Some thing to always keep in mind - Miku is the lyricist for 95%+ of their songs. Saiki is now writing lyrics and has written the lyrics for 2 songs. Miku also stepped up to learn to play the rhythm guitar for a fuller sound. Began lessons in 2013. The deal was Kanami would be her sensei. She does really good now days.
