Great video! I live in NC so cannot grow mango or white sapote but I do grow and freeze pawpaw and persimmons whole. They are equally delicious when partially thawed, like a sorbet, but better.

We buy mango in bags in the freezer section but usually just in the summer or late summer.

Mango in bulk are only available for about a month. We miss them when they are out.

Chest freezers are good because cold falls and when the door is opened the cold stays in, while with a stand up freezer all the cold spills out when the door is opened. They also have better insulation. One can also take a chest freezer and connect a temperature controller inline with the power cord with the probe in the freezer and run it at fridge temps (4-5°C) for a much more efficient fridge in off grid applications.

Paul, I could use your advice. I’m pre diabetic and fairly certain I have SIBO and insulin resistance. I decided to go on a juice cleanse, but on the first day the juice spiked my blood sugar to 165+ and it made me feel absolutely awful. I’m trying so hard to stick with being a vegan and I really want to be raw or high raw. But now I’m very afraid to have fruit, juices and smoothies. Do you have any advice? And thank you for your videos! I’m up in Jupiter and I’m going to try and find this white aspire. 💚💚💚

I have heard white Sapote is a little more cold hardy and can be grown in zone 9a (where I live). I might have to give it a try.

juice, add a little citric acid to the fruit, then (FREEZE DRY). Then seal in plastic & put in freezer.

There is a guy in AUS that grows white sapote, his channel is Real Life Fruitopia. He said Hawaiian Supreme was his favorite.

Yes I know of him and see his channel all the time. There are only certain varieties that are available to us at the moment here in South Florida. Xain's World Nursery is bringing in about 5 new varieties to the area soon.
