+1 for the Emissary. Wear it every day. I have one from back when the company was still called Alonso Defense Group. The brass grommets have nice little indents from where I buckle on every day, but it's holding strong and still stiff as day.

I like the SOE edc belt. Double stich strong and durable. Comes in all the cool guy colors . It can be option with Velcro or no Velcro and the D - ring option is load rated.

I've been wearing the Emissary belt as my work belt (Both as an EMT and firefighter), and my EDC belt for probably the past 2-ish years. Can't say enough about it, and definitely reccomend!

I’ve been rocking a kore belt for over a year and the adjustability is 👌. Not only for prolonged sitting or large meals but switching out holsters or from appendix to 4oclock.

I’ve been wearing an Ares Gear Aegis belt every day for several years. It works out great for me. Also rock the fanny pack med kit for easy access. Good video

Aegis Belt from Ares Gear for my edc belt probably 5 years now, and 1.75" Enhanced Shooter's belt from Esstac for my larping needs.

This is gonna be long comment so I’ll trying to break it up in several categories: EDC, USPSA, and Larping. I. EDC For EDC, I ran a Hank’s Belt leather belt. Lasted several years and looked good with my business casual attire. When it started wearing out though, I noticed because my gun would droop and not hold it too my body as well. So, I bought an EDC belt from Nexbelt at the recommendation of Garret from Executive Training Group, and I have to say I’m really impressed. It’s rigid, the system to tighten and loosen the belt is nice, and it works great with any attire I wear. It doesn’t give off the “I’m a tacticool guy and totally carrying a gun” vibe, which is important. II. USPSA Because of rules and what not, I have two different range belt setups: one for USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) and the other for 2 Gun, 3 Gun, and larping. I compete in Carry Optics Division in USPSA, and unfortunately we’re not allowed to have thigh straps because “it looks tactical and will make people think we’re militia training” (yes, those are the exact words that an Area director said to me). This means I’ll have to keep the retention on my holster pretty loose so I can have a fast draw and to avoid issues with flexing. What do I mean by flexing? Well, if you don’t have a thigh strap to retain the holster to you and you have the holster tight then when you go to draw the gun the holster is going to flex up and cause major drawing issues. While I like belts like the Esstac shooters belt and Ronin Senshi, they’re not great for USPSA since once they start wearing out the chances of flexing issues increases. I use the Competition Overlord from Stormrider Gear since, like the Nexbelt, it’s super rigid and thick (but not too thick). I can keep the T. Rex Arms Ragnarok a little tight and not have flexing issues. Other than a holster, all I run on that belt are three MARS carriers for pistol mags. III. Larping By far, the belt I have been overly impressed with for using for larping, 2 Gun, and 3 Gun is the Orion from T. Rex. I can have multiple pistol and rifle mags on it and not have to worry about it drooping under the weight and it’s super comfortable to wear. I can also have my thigh strap with my pistol holster. I generally run a Ragnarok on a UBL with thigh strap, dump pouch for admin stuff and pasters, MARS rifle mag carrier, Esstac double pistol mag pouch, and a MARS pistol mag carriers angled on the front of my belt. This is by far my favorite range belt and its a real shame I can’t use it for USPSA.

Leather Bigfoot gunbelt for edc. Raptor tactical Odin belt for a non-edc gunbelt. Both have served me well.

a "battle belt" can be a "gunfighter belt", but a "gunfighter belt" can't be a "battle belt"

8:31 also would’ve been a good time to reference The Thin Red Line when Woody Harrelson’s character blows his ass off because he pulls the pin off his grenade in a panic.

Yeah that’s interesting about belt mounted grenades, I bought in to a battle belt very early on way before they were a issue item. Really only used it to carry my pistol, rifle speed reload, and dump pouch. If I wasn’t even running a pistol I wouldn’t wear it at all. I actually got made fun of for having it a couple of times. At that time sop for ifak was left side of the plate carrier. I am with you on the grenade, I don’t think it matters, if a frag clacks off on your kit you are most likely fucked either way ( i know that a couple dudes have survived grenade detonations to the kit) but if you add a IED on top of a frag that does not matter at all, the enemy in Afghanistan was really good at making effective victim operated IEDs targeting dismounted personnel, at least after 2008. The crye belt with suspenders looks like it would be a great option for weight bearing but I wonder how hard to it to access the nut sacks with armor on as well? I remember I saw CAG dudes with belt mounted grenade pouches at least once.... so who knows. Well know knowing you went to school in 2017 makes me feel old as fuck now....
