I am a 56 year old sneaker head, and I love these. I remember when they first came out and I couldn't get my hands on them. I am still having problems trying to get a pair. I am going to be patient and wait. I finally got the BO Jackson's as well. Two grails I have to have. Dope vid. Keep em coming.

Thank you for reviewing the penny's. I always wanted a pair of these when I first saw them back in 95. I was 12 years old at the time and I saw one of my classmates wearing them. I'll never forget the first time seeing them, I fell in love instantly. Recently, I was able to grab a pair of the penny 2xstussy pair, there dope too but nothing beats the Penny air max 1. Love these! Definitely nostalgic for me. There was a time when I wanted to get any and every 90s basketball sneaker, I just don’t think they’ll get many wears so I keep passing. Very much appreciate Nike bringing kicks like these back tho!

I remember buying the og ones in 95 at the Clearwater mall in FL. At the time it was the most expensive shoe I had bought. A definite grail for me in the Orlando color way. I was lucky enough to hit on them on the SNKRS app. In my 50s now and dam sure going to rock ‘‘em with a huge smile on my face!

It's the Jordan 12 "Flu Game" for me. They were my very first pair Js, and it represented me making independent choices of my mom as a kid; choosing my look! I was athletic, and those shoes got me through meets, games, pick-up games, and recess for a year or so....then I grew out of them😅 I haven't had another pair of FGs since, those are my Holy Grails😊

Yeah those and the Bo jacksons are definitely some of my personal grails. I habe the airt trainer 3's in like seven different colorwaya, but the viotechs are my favorite. Something about the late 70's and early 90's era of nike that made me fall hard for the culture, so many of those silhouettes from back then hold a very special place in my heart

Love the love! For me it was the air trainer 1 in 87/88, first trainer that stopped me in my tracks as a young teen and made me realise how much I loved trainers. They fell apart within weeks lol and I swapped them for some AM1 obsidians but still today that AT 1 makes me think "wow". Peace

Your story is my story too. Missed original SNKRS drop, missed the restock, and monitored the resell market. Got it for 7 bucks over retail but S&H made ‘em like $230. Has to have ’em just like you. Nike Air Structure Triax, Reebok Blacktop Mid & T-mac 3.5. All are formative sneakers for me and all of them are perfect in my mind. Grabbed the structure Triax when they re-released the other year. The other 2, haven't got a chance of obtaining. But if they ever do come back, I'm tripling up.

This hits home! I feel it. I was 17 when these released and they blew my mind. They are a PERFECT sneaker. I never head them and don't wear basketball shoes anymore, but today the sneaker that I feel this passion for is the Air Max 180 in Ultramarine. For me the only shoe that really stuck with me were the black and sports royal 18s. I grew up mildly spoiled for having a single mother but the 18s were the first time I felt comfortable asking for Jordans because of the colorway. Needless to say, with like a $30-$40 price difference between Jordans and virtually everything else at footlocker, it broke my heart to leave with a box of K-Swisses. Got my hands on them at the outlet after the retro a few years ago by some miracle and have only put 3 maybe 4 wears on them since.

Had the OG’s as a kid , I’ll never forget finding them at Mervyns (yup) and they only had a couple pair left. Closest was 1/2 size small for me and I squeezed into them and dealt w the pain until they stretched out lol. Similar to you they eluded me until the recent restock and I was able to cop again.
