F5 is both my favorite AF film Nikon and the camera that has the highest damage output when equipped as a melee weapon

Thank you! I truly love it. I've been pairing it with Kodak Vision 3 500T and I'm amazed at the results every time.

@@photo_rsx $15 CAD per roll, $30 with development ( I'm in the Toronto area so I get mine from a spot called Downtown Camera ) . There's a bit of a discount with membership, and then there's the other option of getting a full roll of 400ft and bulk rolling yourself.

The F5 is in my roster. I partner it with a 50mm 1.4G and a 28mm AIS f2.8 both or nikkor. I think I've had it since 2017! I've noticed if you put the F5 down for a while you forget about all the functionality which the camera is capable of. A great 35 mm camera. Kodak tri-x or Ilford hp5 plus, have great character with the 50mm and 28mm. All so in my roster is a MA & SL type 601. The SL for sure after keep up on that. The MA pure natural. It's partnered with a Minolta V light meter & a 35-Summicron.

Beautiful combinations, and yeah I definitely forget how functional the camera is at times. Which film stock do you find yourself using most?

​@@manikkrealm ~ These days when I feel like color I work with the SL. Really nice files. Great to play around with. Color film, nothing really jumps out to me these days. Back in the day I was fond of no particular order Fuji color 400h. Kodak EPZ transparency film (slide). Another Fuji Reala 100 that one was gorgeous. I was shooting Kodak Ektar for a while but truth that got on my nerves after a while. Yuck. And the prices of film these days is just don't feel like it's worth it I have the SL. For black and white my SL make some lovely black and white files too. Film is fun I'm fond of hp-5+ & tri-x. The two films that I grew up with. They have the Look. The classic Look. They have imperfections. A quality that is not perfect. 60% hp-5+ 30% tri-x. Developers: Rodinal 70% Xtol 20% D76 10%. My favorite Rodinal & D76.

@@rvbsoundfactory That's a great blend. I understand what you mean about colour film. I've been entirely in Kodak vision 3 500t after testing a few other types. Nowadays it may make more sense to have a film stock or even a digital negative and then colour correct it to get the aspects of other film stocks. ( I think I may make some guides & recipes for that ) The SL makes a lot of sense. Utility overall and price per shot starts to factor in a lot with film too.

I have used Nikon film cameras for decades. I have used F, F2, F3, F4, EM, N70, and N2000. Except for the F and F3, I still own and use all of them. The F2 is my personal favorite.

@@manikkrealm My five favorite cameras are all battery-independent manual/mechanical cameras. 1. Nikon F2 favorite 35mm SLR 2. Leica M6 favorite 35mm rangefinder 3. RB67 favorite medium format SLR 4. Fuji GW670 favorite medium format rangefinder 5. Calumet 4x5 inch large format monorail view camera. I find them more reliable than battery-dependent automatic/electronic cameras.

@@Narsuitus Ahhh, I see what you mean. That makes so much sense. I've yet to try the RB67 and the GW series cameras but they're definitely on the list.

Instead of going up and getting the F5.. shouldve went backward and went with the Nikon FA like what I have... best camera in existence... THE camera that started the digital game and the technology for matrix metering is STILL the technology used today that they based off of the Nikon FA... found one with a 80-200mm lens for 250 on Etsy and this thing looks like it was just opened today.. instead of '88-'92... I see why so many call the FA the best film camera of all time and so far.. i agree.. even has a double exposure button.

Strongly agree. I only have Ai-S Nikon glass so no AF is missing either. I basically wanted an F3 with matrix metering and that’s exactly what it is. Paid $125 which is a whole lot better than $900 for an FM3A or F6
