Always wanted John to do a remake of "Baby Doll". He's one of the few that could pull it off.

"Damage" directed by Louis Malle. Talk about a brutal failed love story. That's a killer.

Yes Damage is one of my favorite "twisted romance stories" ever. Runner up is a Roman Polanski film Bitter Moon released the same year in 1992.

Why is Richard Burton dressed as a samurai?

I saw John Waters reopen the Senator (?) Theater in Baltimore. They showed Boom. It's talked about as if it's garbage, and yes it is melodramatic, but it's a good movie. I mean Tennessee Williams wrote the screenplay, and he's hardly a hack. Richard Burton is a weird kind of parasite who preys on dying rich women. As Liz Taylor is dying, he is hunched over her reciting the Tibetan Book of the Dead, while removing and stealing her jewelry one piece at a time.

Surprised by the bad dialog in that scene. Not surprised by Liz's bad acting.

In this clip, Elizabeth Taylor looks like a women at a bus stop with a cigarette in her mouth and lots of grocery bags.
