I recently watched a William Osman video where he talks about hate comments that really affected him. In the video he talked to several other KZbinrs who all agreed that hate comments are a lot more impactful than nice comments. Their general consensus as to why was that hate comments stand out more because there are fewer, and when there is some truth to them, they hurt more. This made me think about how people always tell KZbinrs that are struggling with hate comments to not listen to them and make it sound like it’s just that simple even though it’s just not. So I agree with you, but saying “you don’t need to feel pressured,” of course, is true, but it’s difficult to do. Tbh I don’t know why I just ranted about this, I guess just because I think it’s important.

Like this video brought up some great points about Baby I didn't consider. And plus by listening to something and considering it even if you don't necessarily agree, if I'm wrong and this theory is right, I might be able to pick up on what the game is going for quicker. Right or wrong a well made theory can only be good for the community. I don't get why people are acting this way :(

Well, to add some fair criticism, labelling some theories as "I've solved everything" among other overly confident phrasing makes the term 'theory' feel like a formality. Matpat does the same. He'll go on and on about how he has definitive proof about something, and so the "But that's just a theory" bit feels like a slogan he has to include and not like, something he genuinely means. Because a lot of MatPat's theories exist to 100% give people a definitive answer to cling to for mysteries. The fault is on the community too though, for how many people blindly believe these things. The fact that Gregbot isn't even considered a theory to SO many people is absurd. There are people who, when explaining the story, will just assume that's part of it because "Matpat said so"

Even if a theory may seem far fetched or ridiculous to some doesn’t mean it can’t contribute something to the community and lead to some other ideas we can explore and theorize about whether it be for fun or not. Scott even said this once, im pretty sure: the books ARENT canon, but CAN be used to solve the main storylines lore. Afton, Henry, Charlie/Charlotte, the Mimic, its not part of the main storyline but runs parallel, different universes that have similarities that can be used to fill in small holes in the plot at some point

If it wasn’t for these books the “Crying Child is stuck in Golden Freddy with Cassidy” idea never would’ve come up, but the fact that it was so specifically a connection to GF and the 2 spirits actually makes you think if maybe that’s the case. Obviously not everything in the books are connected, but there’s a lot that actually solves a ton of questions from the original FNaF era from FNaF 1 to 6

It always baffles me that people respond to a certain thought process with outright hate and harassment. The lore for this Franchise(ESPECIALLY with Security Breach) often feels like it's going in 8 different directions at once. And something those directions branch off into their own mini directions that sometimes lead to dead ends but more often than not open up even more paths and create even more questions without answers. Theorists then come together and try to put the pieces back together. Even when it doesn't always fit or feel satisfying. They're just trying their best with the info they have. I love Scott and the FNAF series. But let's not pretend that the lore is as cut and dry to have a simple conclusion or is always going to be 100% agreed upon. Until Scott clarifies or confirms something, it is up for speculation. And we should not spread hate because people are sharing their honest thoughts on a series they love.

...except for when Matpat makes claims that he's definitively solved these stories and has proof, and that his explanations are the closest anyone can get to figuring things out, and people believe that and run with it. Sometimes the "It's just a theory!" thing feels more like a formality he has to include because it's in every video, no matter how confident he is about it. It's a good reminder in concept but not many people take it seriously, sadly- sometimes not even Matpat himself. This is something FuhNaff is a bit guilty of too, people hear him say "Need more proof?" 10 times in a row and blindly assume "He has a mountain of evidence, it's undeniable. He literally solved the story." Which is to be fair on the fault of the community. People REALLY need to stop assuming that because some popular KZbinr came up with a really thorough story, that it's correct. Heck, most of Matpat's FNAF theories tend to be dated after a few months- go back and watch his playlist of FNAF theories and a majority are wrong. Yet people flock to him to "know the story." It's a shame that you're getting the brunt of this hate. I think you do a good job explaining your mindset and where you're coming from with your theories (although, even if you didn't, that still wouldn't excuse hatred). I think this new wave of hatred in the FNAF community is an unfortunate consequence of FNAF reaching new levels of popularity (especially with younger audiences). FNAF has always been pretty popular with younger kids as something edgy but safe enough visually that an unknowing parent would buy it for their kids, but Security Breach's super kid friendly designs and aesthetic really amped that up. I've seen a lot of younger voices entering into our theorist community as a result these last few years, and, unfortunately, younger voices often (although not always) lack the maturity necessary to debate someone without resorting to acting in a hateful way. This isn't all bad, of course. The new rise of your channel, Id's fantasy, and Rye has breathed new life and variety in the community. I just hope that, in time, respectful debate will become more prevalent in this community because I know it has to be hard to be on the other end. (As a tip, I would treat twitter the same way we used to treat 4chan. There may be some good people there, but filter out the randos because most of them are going to be super hateful.)

But the mimic is looked at as a similar parallel to baby as new information has been presented . Sure maybe plausible, but I feel like people also should think about how this could look on the actual story and the overall thoughts on it, if this feels like it’d be plausible themselves and such. this isn’t me hating on him or Matpat or whom ever, but I feel it’s important to talk about these things as well because of how the videos are often structured to be almost factual essays I’m rambling a lot but that’s how I see it at the moment

I really love your theory videos! I started watching MatPat and took what he said in his theory videos as fact, but since discovering your channel and also other channels, like the ones you mentioned at the beginning, really expanded my mind on different perspectives of the lore and I even started making my own conclusions based on ALL the information. what I'm basically saying is that I heavily encourage others to do the same and stop hating on others just because they have a different mindset. Its not going to get them anywhere and its maybe even just making them angrier and less tolerant for... no reason 😭💀

Tbh that’s what everything needs. When I used to paint or draw, taking a break and coming back with a fresh eye or even turning it upside down, you see things that you didn’t see before. Not sure if you’ll see this or not but something else that hints at Gregory and Vanessa both being possessed by Afton is a voice line in the trailer for security breach. Vanessa tells gregory, “we can get out of here, both of us.” The only problem with this and your theory is that with your theory they don’t know that they are possessed or can’t remember what happened while they were being controlled. Unless they know that they are possessed and can’t do anything about it, this voice line confirms your theory. Just thought I’d say this.

Dude, just the fact that you were able to rise to the top theorists as fast as you did, being able to match and even convince Matpat of clues and lore, is enough to tell me you're doing FANTASTIC. When people get agitated because your theories are wrong, you're shaking the right trees! The point isn't to convince people you and ONLY you is correct, the point is to bring new perspectives into theorizing that could help nudge us towards answers we hadn't considered before. FNAF has had more established and nuanced lore since around 2015-2016, so of course people who have been around so long and have had certain lore cemented into them won't be easily swayed to new ideas. But that doesn't mean YOU'RE doing ANYTHING wrong! I love listening to your theories just because they're so narratively sound and fun to chew on. Keep going because a lot of people appreciate you!!

The FNAF community has definitely become more aggressive with every release of Tales. I think the problem is so many people believe one thing is canon, which has yet to be proven, and confuse their “theories” with canonicity. No one has a correct answer. You can still be respectful to other’s ways of thinking while ALSO believing in your own theory. This is a great video and really hope we get some definitive answers soon, just so the community can come back together!

I've noticed that the AR endos can wear any suit, ranging from the Classics to the Nightmares, and imitate any animatronic. They heavily remind me of the mimics, though I doubt that's what Scott intended.

I gotta say that is theory has a lot of backing behind it! A whole heaping ton of footing. The only issue I have with it is that Elizabeth specifically calls out "Didn't you make her just for me?" While yes, she is a child and we can't exactly hear William's response, it seems to imply that at one point William had told her that he had been making Circus Baby 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘳. For Circus Baby to be a Charlie Bot, Charlie would've had to have been dead prior to Circus Baby's development, which would imply that William's purpose for the Funtime Animatronics from the get go was to kidnap children and experiment with remnant. That makes the idea that William EVER told Elizabeth Circus Baby had been made for her VERY strange. However, with that being said, I don't think you're wrong in saying the mimic came from Baby and VERY CLEARLY has something to do with Charlie... It's just this one thing that throws a small wrench in the idea. Though if we're saying the game mimic parallels the book mimic, then I think it's important to call out that David and the Mimic had a long period of interaction- it didn't start off as a "David-Bot." This could therefore mean that, maybe in the beginning, Henry and William were making the Funtime Animatronics together and, through observing the world around it, the mimic began mimicking Charlie ....? That doesn't quite make sense, either.. It's just this one detail I would appreciate you addressing in a later theory should this concept still hold true for you after the Ruin DLC!!! But otherwise, a very solid theory indeed :) I am also very sorry that the community is being like that. It's not unheard of, but upsetting. I'm sure it must be stressful for you.

The mimic has been a headache to figure out and that's why I love hearing everyone's theory about it including yours because everyone found details from the books that can point to something interestingly similar to what we see in the games. I do personally agree in that people need to have open minds about it with how they believe theories and idea are factual when they aren’t, but I do think to some degree, the way these theory videos are portrayed are like those factual essays you try to make in school, which isn’t a bad thing on its own, but I feel like the overall informative essay style they often do should change, especially considering I’ve noticed how Matpat often tries to bring robot kids into his latest theories, it’s something that just feels like it wouldn’t work in its actual story by itself even if it’s a plausible idea It’s something where I feel even with the likes of Matpat and to some extent Fuhnaff where I feel they need to be open minded with this as well, a good example in that being ryetoast or sire squawks. And this isn’t me hating on fuhnaff or Matpat or anybody, no But I do think it’s important for people to address that
