Matt thank you so much for being you and writing Talk to Strangers. I finished the book within three days (first book I've finished all year) and honestly, it was life changing. I struggled with depression over the past 2 years after almost losing everything and thought I had lost my childlike wonder. However, this book made me realize that it’s been inside me all this time. It’s just dormant. And because of that, within the past 3 days of reading this book, I’ve awakened my inner child. Feeling E V E R Y T H I N G I’ve been suppressing over the past few years, from loss and grief to newfound freedom and hope. The colors are slowly coming back again. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you the best on this part of your journey [and hope you sleep / rest LOTS!]. I know you're going to kill it.

I haven’t watched yes theory since you left. I started watching again when you came back for your farewell. It’s just not the same without you Matt. Best wishes on your future and thank you for everything.

I realised it’s completely silent and it’s just your voice (no music), and I’m absolutely gutted. Matt you have a gift, I’m so grateful for the way you articulate everything. You know, I don’t know what it is, but every time I watch a yes theory video there’s always something in it that makes me cry. And I realised it’s not the music or the editing, it’s just the honesty you guys live life with. I’ve said quick goodbyes too, and you’re right, it’s a lot more important to celebrate your friends and life before moving on. Thank you Matt!

That ladybug story is again one of those examples why you will be so missed. So lucky to have stumbled upon your channel years ago, and so grateful for what you've evolved into, I have felt so inspired by all of those podcasts, talks - sounds cliche but it just is that way. I appreciated your thoughtful yet joyful being on here. Thank you. So much. Ugh, not ready yet 😢 Enjoy the beautiful flight through life, Matt.

4 views and I'm already here. I can't believe this is the last episode. I don't know what to feel, but everything comes from a place of love. Along the years I'm been able to learn so much from you Matt. I grew up with you. I was able to face so many things in my life because I had someone like you talking to me on youtube, or reaching me out via email. I cant express properly all my gratitude. I feel so blessed and honored by meeting someone like you. I want to say thank you. From the bottom of my heart. So many things to remember while I'm listening to you, but at the end it all leads me to a thank you phrase. You changed my life in ways I will never be close enough to explain. I will probably write another commer when I finish this episode.

Oh Matt, this was so beautiful. You speak so eloquently and you absolutely should allow yourself to be in awe of everything you have done. I can only imagine that your next chapter will be full of adventures and stories to fill another book with (or at the least a whole lot of newsletters). I just finished reading the book within 24 hours of receiving it and came straight to this video after finishing the book. I expected it to be more of a behind the scenes look at you and your friend’s lives while creating Yes Theory, but it was so much more: it was a book of life advice, lessons, love, and examples of how to be a supportive person to others. I only started following Yes Theory two years ago, after I had already traveled solo to 54 countries, lived in 2 foreign countries, and stepped out of my comfort zone more times than imaginable. For me, stepping out of my comfort zone and talking to strangers has never been an issue for me. But maintaining close friendships is much harder. But seeing what you and your friends built is something so special and I’m so glad it exists for people like me (who funnily enough went to high school in the town over from you around the same time and even may have crossed paths with you many years ago in CT) but didn’t find this gem until there was already a huge back catalog of stories for us to devour. Also, not to get too personal but as a woman who has been mistreated by many, many men I have completely lost faith in there being kind, not scary men out there. Buuut seeing you guys being sensitive, aware of your emotions and even being able to talk about them openly and cry gives me just a tiny sliver of hope that one day I won’t constantly be terrified of being around men. Thank you for sharing yourself and opening up to the world. I hope to bump into you one day in the wild and get the chance to know you. Until then, I am greatly looking forward to hearing about your future life adventures. ❤

Finally caught up with the podcast and just watched this episode. My book came from amazon today and I can't wait to read it. I found yes theory from watching your first goodbye video almost 3 years ago when you were going to take time off to write the book. I then went back and binged the entire channel you had up to that point and it was life changing and inspiring. It gave me the courage to get a job in a new city for a summer across the country and experience something completely different. Had I not had that experience I would have always wondered "what if" Always come back to Yes Theory for inspiration and witnessing your goodbye journey has made me remember why I loved this channel in the first place. Thanks for your vulnerability and dedication to this for the last 8 years. We will miss you but can't wait to see what you do next!!! :-)
