I was spoiled. My favorite fighter has hung up his gloves. With his retirement, comes an end of an era. The last of a dead breed. The only reason I'm not completely devastated is because he will still be around. Thank God for his podcast and announcing fights. Chael, you are one of the greatest to ever do it. Youve taught me more than just mma. I hope the next chapter in your life brings you happiness and joy. You only deserve the best.

3 gallons of water is crazy. I never actually looked up just how much that is. I use to work manual labour in a factory. 12 hour days... (Normally 10 hours) heavy lifting, making pallets up, getting them moved.. Sorting waste produce... (30kg) But on average was lifting 10-20 kg boxes all day everyday... 3 hours heavy work, 10 minute break. 3 hours heavy work, 20 minute break. 3 hours heavy work.. 10 minute break. Work till finished. I worked my ass off... And would go through x3 1.5L bottles of water a day. One each break.. Which is quite a lot of water.. That's 4.5L of water, but in US gallons is only around 1.2 gallons! I'd drink about another litre, or maybe another full 1.5L bottle after work with my dinner etc.. Id say on average I was drinking 4 bottles a day. So 6L. That's only a little bit over half what these guys have to drink a day.. And that's a damn lot of water.. Working out a minimum of 9 hours lifting 20-40lb boxes all day.. And I would not have felt comfortable drinking much more than the amount I was. The recommenced amount of water to drink in a day is around 2L, I was drinking on average 6L and these guys drink over 11L!

A series of hypotheticals: Machida drops down to fight for the belt at 185 Bader decides he doesn't want to fight at two weight classes and stays at HW. Anderson Silva gets released from the UFC, and signs for Bellator. Scott Coker gives Uncle Chael the call - "Fight Anderson for the LHW belt. One last dance". Do you guys think Chael would agree to whoop Anderson Silva for a third time?
